Recently came back to this generation 2months ago after buying me a 360E on a trade in, i've been having an absolute blast with it diving into some classic titles.
So i've been doing my best to build a solid physical collection and i was wondering if theres any hidden gems that i have missed?
Ive already got NFS most wanted 05 on the list, before that get said lol
Is it me of does something seem off with the release of this one? Like Mangmi announced the Y later than the Pro U and review units were sent out rapid to Russ etc before it was released. It seems trim ui don't want the device reviewed before the release, anyone else sat on the fence about this device finding the launch a bit fishy?
While playing high end emulation (upscaled aswell) i found my device was getting very hot around the cpu where you could feel it distinctly through the screen.
I decided i would have a look at the paste that is applied to the heat sink, suffice to say my suspision was bang on. The themal paste that had been applied was only hitting half of the cpu.
So i went the amazon route and got me the Arctic MX-7 (just went with the best/ most reviews) which also came with some handy cleaning pads to clear the gunk.
I reapplied a small pea of this to the middle of the cpu and gently put the heatsink/ fan module back on ensuring a clean alignment with the cpu.
After playing some for 30mins to test out the difference this is what its sitting at (see details in picture) it is a noticeable improvement, the heat through the screen is barely noticeable on touch now. The fan was set at a fixed 40% throughout (i find that to be the optimum silent mode)
Just thought id share this with you guys incase anyone else is finding theirs abit toasty
They are a tiny but shorter than the standard buttons due to a slight domed effect on the button face.
They are very nice to play with however, the guy has designed these exactly the same on the backside as the og button with the cross section and 4 tiny holes for gripping (not solid like sakuras buttons usualy are).
Over all, im loving them. Finaly i can say i got a new age PSV 😄👍
Ive been modding my kiwi with the black rp classic buttons/ sd cover and thought of a nod to a certain computer from the 90s in the process (i wonder if anyone will get the reference 😅).
Retrohrai realy finnished it off off though, being able to use hex codes for color matching is a lovely touch along with my custom layout and icons. To those who havnt fiddled with it yet i would reccomend it if you like customising your frontend.
What do you guys think?

I've been messing/ building a theme with it on my RP Classic after hearing about it and getting curious, its kind of growing on me over Daijisho. I've been editing my console icons and just spent an hour generating the Mega Drive CD II icon as there were none that i could find 🤣. Anyone come across anything about the Front end that i should know?
Anyone else itching to have these for their device?
So my glass has worked its way loose enough to cause light bleed on my device while playing the device due to slight pressure when holding /playing on the device.
Now im talking to Anbernic to try and get a replacement under warranty. But they are trying to fob me off saying that its man made damage even though ive babied my device since day 1.
SO heed my warning, i think these glass screens are going to be an issue with this device overtime. I think this has resulted from playing high end games and the device getting hot which in turn has affected the screen bonding.
if i could go back id probably pass this device and look at the trim ui hammer pro u, never known a glass front do this on any of my other devices.

Kinda bugged me that a few buttons didnt match the rest (but i get why for the gameboy color feels). Ordered the black counterparts from the sega model from retroid customer support. Loving the propper black and green theme now 😄

The RG 477V V1.38 firmware update is now officially released. This update adds the Control Center, a new game frontend, and other features. The specific update log is as follows:

The RG Home application has been added to the desktop. Click directly to enter the new game frontend interface.
⚙️ Control Center Function Added
The system introduces a Control Center module. After adding the function block in the pull-down status bar and turning on the switch, you can slide out the Control Center from the left or right edge of the screen.
🕹️ New Key Mapping Function Added
Key mapping support is newly added. Users can now open it directly through the Control Center for key configuration.
🎨 Palette Support Added to Settings
A palette option has been added to the system settings, allowing users to adjust the screen color temperature.

Realy didnt need this device as i have many vertical machines but the itch still wouldnt go away. I managed to bag me a kiwi from aliexpress after finding them gone on goretroid, i have to say it realy hits the nostalgia button. Time to spend the next few hours setting it all up 😅
