I got the name Eastern Rat Snake and Central Rat Snake mixed up in my last post, this is in fact a Central Rat Snake! (Ithaca NY)

Found this guy under a rock while walking some trails, yes I decided to pick it up, it was very chill it didnt show any signs of it being stressed out such as musking or biting, if you do not support people picking up snakes that’s fine, I’m just sharing what I think is cool and it doesn’t hurt the snake in anyway unless you hold by the tail or head, I’ve been herping since I was 5, and yes I make mistakes but I learn from them. Herping is a hobby that many people do.
