Would you offer a reduced price?

We are working with a small handyman company
The guy does jobs on the side while working full time for another larger construction company. He says his boss at the large company is fine with his side work.
So he hires other people to work on his projects. Beginning of July we asked him to do a roof, windows, screen doors, and exterior painting of our house.

Roof went fine but we are still waiting on the windows and painting. Lots of issues - windows took forever to arrive, one screen door was the wrong size, crew members had family issues, guys girlfriend had a baby end of Aug.

Just heard tonight that we are delayed another week on windows after being promised tomorrow.

Would you (or should we ask for) offer a reduced amount from the labor quoted? Getting frustrated and Midwest weather makes me nervous about the painting.

Thanks for any advice

Why is this happening? Bubbles

Painting cabinets with foam roller that says “for cabinets and trim”. Using Cabinet Coat urethane acrylic paint by Ben Moore. Cabinets washed and rinsed TSP, sanded with 120 and wiped down with denatured alcohol. Painting over paint- sherwin Williams emerald urethane from 8 years ago

What color should the entryway be?

Forgive the mess - we are in the middle of painting bedrooms etc.
In general terms- with an entryway like this should the paint match the living room? I matched the blue before a long time ago with an accent wall slightly darker. Are accent walls out?
Thanks!

Help me convince hubby needing a 2nd coat is pretty standard

Painting the interior of the house. Started with bedrooms 1st coat yesterday. This am hubby looks at the rooms and declared “this is just shitty paint”. We are using Hirschfields classic Top scrub in eggshell. A darker color over a lighter. He’s not happy but we are doing coat #2 today whether he likes it or not lol. 😆

Painting kitchen cabinets again

Previously used sherwin Williams emerald. Should I use sherwin again? I am aware of the need for proper prep (clean and scuff sand). Do I really need a bonding primer too ?

How to arrange this room?

I have no clue how to arrange this room. Getting rid of desk by bed for sure. Getting new carpet end of Aug and painting walls a soft gold. Thanks for any ideas!

Those who have had shingles more than once

When you got it again were you able to discern the symptoms early? Right now every itch, tingle, dull pain I feel in the same area I freak out thinking I’m getting an outbreak again.

Cast with lots of children

Opening night is in 4 days. Cast of 25 kids and 15 adults - all mic’d.
Full dress rehearsals either lighting and a live pit of musicians.

How, for the love of Pete, do you get these kids to understand they can’t talk backstage when not in the scene and they can’t scream and chatter in the dressing room with the mics live?

I’ve tried, (adult cast member) other adults have tried and it’s just ignored.

Banister replacement

We are replacing all our floors so this banister behind our couch will have to come off. The last time we did this it was a nightmare to put back together. Thinking about building a half wall instead. Anyone have any inspiration pics? Or should we just get a new banister and keep it open?

What can I add to make this pearlescent?

I want to paint our walls the gold color in the flowers. Is there a pearlescent additive I could use to get that?

Could I try OTC hearing first while I save $ for Costco $1600?

At the moment I just want to better hear people speaking. I don’t have the cash right now to afford even Costco’s and plan to get money saved but I need something now. I’m in a theater production in July and people whispering back stage to me I could not decipher at all- and you can’t ask them to speak up 😞. Thanks for any tips.

Still on fence

I know I need them- still on the fence about making the appointment after getting my hearing test.
Maybe a silly ? But after wearing them all day and you take them out to go to bed do you feel like you won’t be able to hear anything while sleeping? In terms of feeling safe?
