When to service?

I have a 2025 Mach e Premium AWD w/sport appearance package (and extended range battery). I bought this in February 2026 and it had 750 kms on it, and I'm now at 1600 kms (about 1,000 miles). Yup, don't drive much.

So now the service department wants me to bring the car in for service. I know the first service is typically 5 or 10 thousand miles ... is there a 1000 mile service and if so, what does that entail?

Is there a 12 month service? The vehicle should be about a year old by now.

Thanks!

Is it okay to ask about my meal 'plan'?

This is what I have been eating for the past three days. I'm aiming for 100 grams of protein a day and do realize that my coffee with cream is something I should cut out.

65 years old; 6'3'; 260 lbs (fyi: LDL cholesterol is 0.66; fasting glucose is 6.5 and Ha1c is 5.8 on labs done in the past month)

Breakfast (6-8 am): 2 mugs of coffee with cream

2nd Breakfast (10 - 11 am): 3 eggs fried in small amount of olive oil and ghee

Lunch (somewhere between 1 and 3 pm): Protein shake -- 12 ounces 2% milk; 10 grams creatine; 5 grams glutamine; 5 grams collagen peptides; 25 grams protein powder.

Dinner (around 6 or 7): 3 ounces ground turkey thigh; 1 mini cucumber; 6 cherry tomatoes. Multivitamin every day; supplement with zinc, magnesium, Vitamin D/K, etc on other days.

Evening: water, water, water

I do have that food obsession thing going so I'm just cutting out as many carbs as possible to not trigger it. I'm also learning that being hungry is okay and will check my blood sugar to see if its down or just my brain/stomach complaining.

Where to from here?

65 year old male; 6'3" and 260 lbs (yes I have a gut, rest of me is skinny); liver functions all fine. All labs come back in normal range except my fasting blood sugar which is climbing (6.0 - 6.5 over 2 years of tests). My A1c is the same ... has gone as high as 7 on one test.

Most recent: glucose fasting 6.6 and A1c was 5.9

Over a year ago my doc put me on Metformin, time release, 2000mg per day and my numbers barely budged. I have now been OFF Metformin for 6 months and my latest labs are above. Not great, obviously, but no worse than when I was on Metformin.

My doc wants me on Ozempic. After a year of horror on Metformin, I'm reluctant to go through more intestinal trauma. And for pure diabetes control, how effective is it going to be?

What other treatments are there that won't lock me in the bathroom for the rest of my life? I'm not wanting Ozempic for weight loss, though that would be okay, but I do want to get my burgeoning diabetes under control before it becomes more of an issue than it already is at this point.

At what point do I take threats seriously?

Neighbour across the street has a dog that is a chronic barker. I talked to one person (female) about the barking and later that day her brother (the legal dog owner) came over to talk to be about it. He told me it was a 'guard' dog because of his work (dog is home all day while he is out). The conversation ended when he said to me "You better be careful about how this plays out" at which point I asked him if that was a threat and he replied 'no'.

Today the dog was barking at nothing again and I went outside to investigate. His sister (grown woman) asked me what I was doing and then said it was rude to stare (I was looking at the dog in the window not her standing outside). She then said "keep it up and see what happens!"

I was on my property the whole time, made no aggressive moves/comments and only said that it was rude for the dog to be barking so much.

I don't know where to go from here with this situation. I don't know whether to take these 'threats' seriously or how to view them. No one has threatened to do me any harm but how is someone supposed to react to these comments?

Fyi: I'm home almost all the time because of health issues and even using noise cancelling headphones plus music does not drown out the barking of this dog.
