How do experienced identity designers approach graphic elements (or brand elements)

Maybe that's not what they're called, if so my apologies. Let's say you have a logo for a coffee shop, I'm talking about texture pattern in the cup or coffee bag, paper bag or kraft. How should I approach it?

Is this male pattern baldness or maybe something else?

I'm turning 25 and was diagnosed with Psoriasis and MPB, the first picture was a week ago, and the second one was taken just now. It's like a bald spot, but not entirely bald, I see miniaturization in there. maybe It's just different hair conditions (comb vs not comb), but personally I see visible progress within a week. Psoriasis scale and inflammation improved on its own, there's still a bit scale focused in that area but nothing much because I can see my scalp, I never experienced itching or burning, and I haven't seen any shedding.
IMPORTANT: all this is happening on my left temple only.

Thinking about using topical fin but concerned about the sides

Turning 25 and looks like my hairline is receding, I went to a doc and was diagnosed with MPB and Psoriasis. I was given plenty of stuff: topical steroid and keto 2% shampoo besides a few supplements for psoriasis, and oral fin 1mg, min 5%+fin topical combo, also plenty of supplements that most likely won't buy because I'm too broke, and besides that, doc suggested me to do blood work to rule out any nutrition related causes.
I've been lurking around learning about fin and its side effects and frankly it looks like it varies from person to person, I'm thinking about trying topical one but I'm concerned about experiencing side effects and the potential of them being permanent or at least lasting a long time. Because I'm broke, going through a lot, I'm already fucked up really really bad, the last thing I need is a brain fog or anxiety to spike higher than it already is and the list just goes on.
My hair means a lot to me, I really don't want to lose it, so I'd like to know your opinion about topical fin, and please if you have any experience with it too. Thanks.

Turning 25, Is this recession?

Sorry for bad pictures, but I know for a fact that from my widow's peak to left temple, I experienced some sort of recession. I just dont know if it's hair reccedding or maturing. I always had baby hair, but my scalp is overall bigger and it looks like it took a step back. I see a pink line slightly infront of the hireline where I THINK my hairline used to be. I'm freaking out.

I'd like to thank you guys for your help so far.

I dont know much about typography and I've been struggling with it, I'm trying to make a variation for my logo, so this is going to be placed in a coffee bag but not sure how to go about it. Personally I'm leaning towards the second one even though the first one is more appealing to me, and that's because I'm thinking putting this in the bottom left of the bag. But it just doesnt feel good enough, like it could be much better but I dont know.

First off, I would like to thank you guys for your answers and support in my last post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Design/comments/1t0bl68/how_do_experienced_designers_handle_mockups/

Even though your answers been pretty helpful, I'm a rookie and still feel confused and a bit lost. So apologies if this sounds repetitive.

I have this logo I had been working on for a coffee shop (not real client, just building my portfolio), and I’m not sure how to go about it presentation wise, specifically the background. I mean if we're talking about coffee shop logo, I use a cup or coffee bag mockup or something like that if i'm not wrong. And background wise, I'm thinking about going with a minimal background that emanates what the brand is about. Personally, I find it extremely hard to set a coffee table background or blurred interior of a coffee shop, the easiest (not really easy) so far been putting studio like background that somehow expresses the brand. Sometimes If I pick a mockup with a studio background, I just change the colour, adjust blur, and/or add gradient to it etc.

If you guys have any advice for me, I really appreciate it. I just dont know what to do atm.

I struggle to find mockups that actually fit my projects. A lot of free ones can't do much modification on it or don’t match the style I’m going for. And even if I can do heavy modifications, I personally find myself doing endless work of polishing (burnout).
How do you experienced designers handle this? do you create your own mockups, modify existing ones, or use specific paid resources?
