A few Kindle versions are $1.99 today in the US
Hey all...
Apologies if this type of post isn't allowed. I'm no big fan of Amazon, but I did manage to snag Kindle versions of Matter, Surface Detail and Hydrogen Sonata today for $1.99/ea.

Hey all…
I’m not attending the con but was in Providence tonight (I live nearby) and saw many of you out and about, cosplaying or just wearing Miskatonic U. t-shirts, and I just wanted to say welcome to RI and I hope you all have a great time here!
Hey all…
So I gave Bleep a shot, and it’s definitely not for me. I have a few boxes of Dreamports that I won’t be using, so if you are an existing Bleeper just dm me and I’ll get them to you. I’d prefer to help someone in need if possible, so if you are doing ok maybe wait a day before reaching out.
And mods, apologies if this is not allowed.
Hey all…
My med card is coming up for renewal and I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the cost. I’m wondering where I might look to access the data that keeps track of my purchases. I have no idea if this is possible, or if they even retain the data for a whole year, but figured I’d ask. I can estimate but would like real info.
Thanks!
Hey all…question for those of you using Bleep. Do you find it improved sleep quality at all? I tried it for the first time last night and had my best sleep numbers ever; typically 50ish AHI, 2-3 with my usual F20, but last night was a 1. I was expecting better comfort but not better results. I know a single datapoint does not a conclusion make, but I’m curious if others have experienced similar.
I know this sounds like stealth promotion for Bleep but it’s not; for example, I suspect that having glue on my face 1/3 of the time is going to become problematic over time.
Edit: before anyone suggests that maybe it was a better fit, that’s never been an issue for me, I’m always at or near 100%.
Hey all…I keep my hair very short (buzz cut) and I use an F20, so I get strap marks on my head. Never really thought much about them, figured they went away after a shower, but my new barber asked me if I was constantly wearing headphones. So I’m thinking about getting a small cap to wear overnight, but before taking that plunge I’m curious to hear what other’s experiences have been. I’ve heard wearing hats for hours exacerbates baldness but that’s just something I heard many years ago.
Hey all...
I have a question about my current setup. I have an M1 mac Studio Ultra. I have a Synology NAS that syncs with work (I work remotely from home), which is plugged into my wifi modem, and the modem is plugged into my mac. My question is, would a wired connection from the NAS to the Mac increase the speed of disk access? I work in video so the files I deal with are large. The reason I am asking is that port-wise, what I think I need to do is buy a USB-C to connection adapter in order to make this connection (like this one) to make that happen. Hardware is not my strength so I'm asking before I buy. Thanks!
Hey all...just wondering if there is a way to precompose a layer so that the precomp is the same dimensions and position as the item being precomped. For example, say you have a 100 pixel square shape layer off to the side of a 4K comp. If I precompose this I get a 4K precomp with the square off to the side, where what I want is a 100 pixel square precomp that is then positioned in place within the main comp.
What have I tried? I tried buying Smart Precomposer, although clearly I am not very smart as I hadn't noticed it was from 2012 and stopped being supported after AE2020.
I could do this manually but of course I need it for about 100 layers. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hello...
The ZXP installer has worked fine for me until recently, where it is stuck in a loop of checking whether or not I am human and I cannot get past this. I recently updated my OS to Tahoe 26.5.1.
