A great outdoor recreational area. However, there's a blackened soul that wandered on to the land and left his imprint. They say he came from a dark place that takes you to other worlds. 📸 Effingham TREC Trail, Effingham, IL.

Any good gyms in the Rockford area that have a jog track, and pool? Or nearby towns?

I saw there's a Vasa Fitness in town on Google maps, but was curious if there was any other well known gyms near by?

Question for Rockford area retail and grocery store employees, how do customers act when they come into your store?

Are most customers in the Rockford area kind and respectful? Or does the Rockford area have a lot customers who will complain over anything that doesn't go their way?

Are there a lot of Karens?

Do a lot of the customers for retail and grocery shopping in the Rockford area think they can do whatever they want?

Do most businesses keep to their standards or bend the rules to make a customer happy in the Rockford area?

Any information and answers to questions I didn't even think of are greatly appreciated. It will help me learn more about the Rockford area and help my consideration for moving to the area, thank you 👍.

My previous "Considering moving to Rockford" post went great and I got a lot of great feedback and information. But I wanted to do more research on Rockford and how its changing. Any information help is appreciated. Read description.

I had to repost this because I saw how it looked when I linked one of the YouTube videos I was talking about here. The description was not visible, and the YouTube video just made the post look like a negative guy giving a thumbs down with no explanation. And I just didn't want people to misread the post or its purpose.

I started looking up stuff on YouTube under "Living in Rockford IL." Lot of positive stuff, and growth for the area the last few years. I did see some negative stuff. Most of the negative stuff that came up is three-four year old videos. Like this one video I have linked to the post.

Is it true about some of the things this person says about these being a lot of drama? That there's a lot of haters? Etc.

I am aware of the gang, and gun crimes. But research I've done showed how its been on a downward incline as the years have gone on.

I had people in previous post comment how west side of the river would be the dangerous part, and how its also the Southside of Rockford. But some recent reports within the last six months to year have been showing more and more people have been moving on the west side, so is it not as dangerous anymore? Is school street the one road to avoid over there?

Any information or help that goes into more depth about this side of Rockford would be greatly appreciated. Because I'm still looking into moving to the area. Thank you 👍.

Considering moving to the Rockford area, any information I need to know about the area, or where would be the best area to get an apartment at, etc.?

I'm starting to do research about the area. I am aware of some of the crime history. A website I use uses a rating system where 100 is safest, Rockford is currently rated 5 on the website. And the surrounding towns are rated a lot higher, like Belvidere being rated 60. I'm looking for opinions not just about crime wise, but activities and entertainment around the Rockford and surrounding towns. Where the best apartment rates are at, the safest areas, etc.

For research I did on my own, I was told the downtown area by the river can be dangerous at night, but during the day its perfect and lot of fun things to do around there. Then that the bad neighborhood vibes are only in that downtown area and don't spread throughout the rest of Rockford. I do a lot of exploring and will be seeing the rest of the towns.

And also interested is learning more about the south Wisconsin area by Rockford and what things there is to do around there too.

Any help or opinion is greatly appreciated, thank you 😊.

Is there any where I can share my artwork on Reddit with no negativity received?

It seems every art subreddit I've shared my art at, other then my profile or my own subreddit, is filled with a lot of negative people. Have received tons of comments like "This is so pointless and dumb." Your post was removed because of xyz." "Why bother." "This has nothing to do with our community." "Low effort/quality, remove this garbage." Etc. Do a lot of these Reddit communities have a lot of negative people in them? Why?
