Keeping ID on file

I recently did a manual verification to put a crypto block on my account, and uploaded the necessary photos. I asked for these photos to be deleted but they said they would need to keep them on file for regulatory purposes.

I would prefer this not be the case incase of a data breach, but I’ve been assured that they are encrypted and accessed through expiring aws token links.

  1. Is it possible to have them deleted
  2. Am I being overly paranoid.

Apple Pay Limit?

For reference I’m in Canada.

I just tried to buy something online using Apple Pay (linked to and AmEx) for 171 usd. Payment kept failing. Then I lowered the amount to 85 USD and it went through.

I have purchased things well over 1000$ cad before using my actual card instead of my card through Apple Pay, so I know its not a transaction limit issue.

Now is this an issue of the merchant potentially apply contactless payment limits on the Apple Pay method? Maybe the 171$ USD was coming in at over $250 CAD? Because shouldn’t Apple Pay have no limit online, and basically work the same as entering in the card normally?

This was my first time using Apple Pay to purchase something over $200 instead of just using my card.

Keeping ID on file

I recently did a manual verification to put a crypto block on my account, and uploaded the necessary photos, but upon asking to have those photos deleted and just have a record of the verification information, the Wealthsimple representative stated that they’re required to keep the photos until my account is closed.

Is this normal?

Aeroplan Account Creation

Planning to get a TD aeroplan card soon… do I need to create an aeroplan account before I receive the card and link it? Or is the account made for me as I open up the account at TD?

For context I typically always do 2 sets to failure for every exercise, no matter the exercise, with my desired failure range between 8-10 reps.

Based on this, when should I progressive overload? When I can get both my sets to failure at 10 reps? Just getting both my failures within that range? When I can get my second set to that range (assuming at that point my first set failure is past the 8-10 range)?

I’ve been working out for a few months now but have typically progressed from newbie gains and don’t really understand how to progress effectively.

Got off the waitlist on Friday, but haven’t applied for it yet as I’m afraid if I apply I will be signed up for the card (don’t currently want to sign up as I can’t waive the fee).

Can I still apply to check my eligibility without being enrolled?

8 months later and just now noticing some scratches on my deep blue 17 PM.

I have a ‘big’ one by the screen lip at the charging port, which would typically covered by a case but otherwise near impossible to see unless in sunlight and other micro scratches in various spots on the back.

I use a case 99% of the time so it’s odd I have some scratches but it doesn’t bother me, I am just curious how your pro phones have held up since launch. Any small scratches or are yours still pristine?

Just curious if anyone else has been in this scenario:

I recently sold tickets and just received my payout, however it won’t let me remove my credit card due to it being used for an active order. I have never purchased tickets and have only used stubhub once, just to sell tickets, yet I can’t remove the card.

I contacted support and they said they would escalate the issue and that it would take up to 14 calendar days for them to remove it themselves, however there’s no way I can verify it’s been escalated and would prefer it to be removed faster than within 2 weeks. Would phone support be better?

I have added another card (a vanilla prepaid card) to try and remove my actual credit card but it still doesn’t let me.

Has anyone been through this and know house to remove my card? I have no plans of ever purchasing tickets through StubHub and plan to close my account once I remove my credit card. If support fails me within those 2 weeks, should i report my card missing to have the card on file rendered useless?

From the attached photo, how can I make my contact card photo to that of the dark mode contact colour? It matches identical to light mode, but won’t switch to dark mode. (The white is just my initials scratched out, not part of the actual photo.)

Also my share contact name and card is off, so I am curious as to what those who save my number see… the light mode photo if they’re in light mode/dark mode if they’re in dark?
