Deinfluence me: Frank Green lucky bas

Okay, I'll admit, the online hype has me adding one to cart every year but I have never hit buy.

I have one good quality water bottle that I use frequently so I don't *need* another, but a second would be handy.

I could also do with a leak proof coffee cup to keep at work.

Pros:

- I'm a drink girlie, so loads of chilled herbal teas etc... Despite rigorous cleaning, over time they leave a lingering tea scent/taste so the bottle would be set aside for that

-I have Long days where I am away from reliable (free) water

- the dopamine hit ngl. The range that might be in the bags this year aren't an ick to me, I've disliked previous colourways so not risked it

-discounted item

Cons:

- I hear there may be better quality options out there (I currently have a yeti)

- the colour risk

(I'm probably influencing myself now) if I hadnt seen it online I wouldn't have thought I wanted this purchase.... Ugh!

Deinfluence me - Dyson Nural hair dryer

The prime day sales and shop back deals are teasing me. I have my eye on the Dyson Supersonic Nural™ Intelligent hair dryer, currently down to about $450 on Amazon.

I currently have a very old hair dryer that isn't very effective. I have naturally wavy, chest length hair and don't do a lot of hair styling. I mainly use a hair dryer to set products to prevent frizz and am *really* interested in the dyson flyaway attachment.

Last month I used my friends old dyson and my hair dried so quickly, I just can't stop thinking about it... I know of shark etc and am not usually one to go for the big name brands.

Deinfluence me... am I caught up in hype? Or is it worth the investment at this good price?

Needing a pep talk

I've straight up not had a good week. If it could have gone wrong.... it has.

I'm about 6 months into my first ever leadership role of a team of 30 who support homeless people. I'm 28 and proud of landing myself this job after getting a tap on the shoulder. Mentioning my age and time in the job because I do recognise I'm just a baby and I have a lot more growth.

I can't even quite articulate how things have gone wrong. It's a little bit of everything, and I'm really feeling the pressure on top of EOFY funding submissions. Essentially, I'm having a week of firsts, and they're all WTF.

There are fantastic supports around me, and I've spoken to who I need to. That's no issue.

So, as the week is wrapping up, I'd love to know what some of your little self-talk phrases are, quotes, manifestations, hype songs, memes, podcasts that help you in these moments.

Essentially, as the title says. When doing our household purchases I have these preferences:

- Aussie made (or owned)

- not horrendous for the environment

- cost effective

I was about to repurchase Skipper laundry sheets after going through a large box and decided to check CHOICE. The article has me questioning repurchasing, even though we haven't had any issues using these in our front loader.

So I'm curious to hear from others who might shop with similar preferences?
