I am a 34yo black women with innattentive adhd. i have issues just getting things done. i start things, i cant finish them. i have extreme dificulty staying off my phone. there are weeks when i am essentially better than others, i am so easily forgetful. my time management is soooo trash. I always end up rushing . My old Psych doctor gave me adderall XR to start we ultimateley moved over to adderall IR. we did adderall for ONE YEAR before I decided to part ways. one year one on the same medication was ridiculous to me. I ended up feeling as though maybe she specializes in other things just NOT adhd .Especially after expressing the adderall was NOT working for me multiple times

I recently got a new pysch who prescribed me vyvanse. we started with 20mg. my second time trying the 20mg. my mind was surprisingly quiet but once i sat down to do work I struggled BIG TIME. she tapered me up to 30mg but feared it wouldn't be enough. i had the same issue on 30mg. now im on 40mg and i find the SAME thing is happening. it's so disheartening. I feel a bit helpless.

Has anyone been through the same thing? i have notice that if I drink loads of water, stay on top of my pumpkin seeds and yogurt I feel better focus wise. but not enough to move the needle to make a difference.

Any suggestions would be so helpful

Hi I'm 34. My new psych put me on vyvanse 20mg to see how it would work for me.The second day I was amazed at how quiet my brain was while sitting at a stoplight light. However when it came down to actual focus, I struggled. She upped me to 30mg once she heard I had no side effects but felt as though she should give me 40. But decided ultimately on 30 opposed to 40 to make sure I don't get jitters.

My question is, has anyone else experienced the dosages feeling the same ? No real focus, just dry mouth

I've noticed that my view are extremely low whenever i post through a platform, like metricool. does anyone else have this issue?????
