Buuuut, I don't think it's going to run...at least after significant break in, and or fitting work. Tolerance stacking happens, but the FCI didn't want to go in at first. Then the pins were even more difficult. I add the slide, and that's the real problem. It's crunchy and sticky, and when I pulled back the first time I thought it was completely stuck, but a hard slap on the rear sent it forward. Can't dry fire it or the trigger gets stuck too...for $500 total with the magwell, I just hope it actually runs.

I'm not looking to get into the 1911 vs. Glock debate. I've only carried a Glock since 2019, but over the last few years I've been obsessed with 1911s and fitting parts, so I thought why not carry one. I've tacticooled my other 1911s so much carry wouldn't be practical, but I have his bare bones PSA Admiral (RIA/Armscor) that's seen about 500 zero trouble rounds through it and made a few changes. First was the thumb safety. It had the ambi tactical but fitted a GI style for better concealment. Then the adjustable sights I replaced with Dawson Precision all black serrated fixed. Bought a few Wilson Combat/Vickers mags, which have great spring tension, by the way. That's all I needed, so after dry firing for the past few months and another 500 rounds and 100 JHPs this morning to confirm 100% reliability, I feel a little less like I'm gonna get killed. The Springfield 1911 railed Bravo concealment holster fits perfectly.
