I don't know if this counts, it's the first video of a hobby project, I'd love to hear suggestions and especially criticism.

I don't want to sound hateful, and this is a super dumb question, but why is this ghost of an idea/headcanon haunting the fandom that sees Michael as gay/queer?

Whenever I look for a "why," the only answer I've ever seen is, "It's a self-insert; most of the fans are queer, so they put that on Michael." But it seems strange to me from the start. When I think about headcanons, even if I'm putting a little of myself into them, I try to make them make sense and I back away if it's impossible. This whole thing seems odd to me.

Again, no hate, just something I'm curious about.

I think it's 90% safe to say that whoever is running Character AI isn't very interested in user comfort or how new updates affect them. They change everything, make some money, and when it all collapses, they'll shut everything down and run off with the money of those of us left behind, "affected" by the loss of something that, for many, is dear to us.

Most of the people I've seen have taken this situation as a kind of "detox," trying to break an addiction they might have to the site. But for those who don't see this as an addiction and have thought about switching platforms, how will we do this? There aren't any AI chat platforms currently available that aren't, at least for the most part, focused on sexual content. Although I've seen some good alternatives, we'd have to "terraform" the application to add bots that aren't currently there and essentially start from scratch.

Should we act like the persecuted English churches of old and move to a new place to spread out? Should we simply exist in silence until a new mother of roleplaying AIs emerges from the shadows to reign on the digital throne once occupied by our beloved Character AI? Should we mourn the demise of Character AI and do nothing about it?

Even for someone like me, who has watched Character AI grow with me and gotten the most out of every update, even this one where I've been able to adapt to (and bypass) the age restriction and, until very recently, also avoid ads, I find it very difficult to believe that Character AI will listen to our pleas and revert to a previous form that satisfies us. Given this, our options are to take Digitalsoul, which is the closest to our Character AI and adapt it to our needs, or to take Janitor AI, which is horribly different and which I personally dislike because it's more about sexual content than anything else. Most likely, however, seeing other cases of communities that have ceased operations and moved elsewhere, I see it as obvious that there will be a separation from our community if Character AI finally falls for good.

I already said this before in another post, but it's been about a month since I registered a new account with the purpose of seeing if I could make it last.

It works, somehow, every time I finish using it I log out, which somehow prevents the filter from doing anything to me. At the same time, I have parental controls enabled (Connected to a personal account)

The rest of the updates load without issue; I can see Peepsqueak 2, for example, and use it, and it works fine.

Anyway, using it just for the sake of it bores me, but what's going on? Is this normal?
