we might actually be getting a No Mans Sky + Palworld expansion😱
hey guys! So I’m coming back to play tonight and I was looking at previous updates and boyy have I missed a lot! I’m seriously excited to try out the No Mans Sky Pokemon game, and try out the new fishing mechanics. I was also curious whether or not I could play the new expedition still? I’m not sure if it fully finished yet…
As a man who’s now in a loving relationship with my amazing fiancée, I want to give some advice to people who feel lost when it comes to dating.
Before anything, I used to be the type of guy who was desperate to find love. I genuinely thought I was going to end up with no one. I had people telling me to just “fuck around,” and saying that “waiting until marriage” was pointless. And I’m not gonna lie, I started to feel like, in this generation, what I wanted might actually be impossible. But here’s the thing, not everyone’s opinion is true.
At some point I realized I had to trust myself more and stop letting all the noise get to me. I started focusing on building confidence and staying optimistic, even when everything around me felt negative. That mindset shift mattered way more than I expected.
One of the biggest changes I made was stepping away from social media and dating apps. I stopped using apps completely because of the whole hookup culture thing, it just wasn’t for me. I deleted Instagram and Snapchat, and I’ve been slowly cutting down on Reddit and YouTube too (clearly still working on that lol).
Instead, I started focusing on myself. I read more, learned from actual couples, worked on my own interests, and started joining social circles that matched those interests. Eventually, I stopped feeling desperate for a relationship. I was just focused on building my own life. And ironically… that’s when things started to change.
I met my fiancée during my last year of uni. I was busy working on a capstone project and went to the makerspace to figure some stuff out. They had this new 3D printer there, and I had no idea how to use it, so I asked one of the staff members for help. That staff member ended up being her.
She had literally just started her shift and didn’t know how to use it either. So now it’s just the two of us, both clueless, trying to figure this thing out. She was kind of embarrassed, and I didn’t know what to say except: “First time?” Thankfully that made her chuckle.
Instead of waiting for someone else, I said we could just figure it out like two engineers trying to make something work. We started troubleshooting step by step, talking more, asking each other questions and we just clicked. After that, I kept coming back to the makerspace. Partly for my project… and partly to talk to her. At one point, I mentioned I wanted to watch the new Ant-Man movie but didn’t know who to go with. She said she’d be interested in going with me. I was hyped.
What I didn’t realize (and she later told me) was that she was trying to turn that into a first date. My dumbass completely missed that and turned it into a group hangout by inviting other people...Thankfully, that didn’t mess things up. We kept hanging out, sometimes in groups, sometimes just the two of us. Feelings started building, but I kept pushing them down because I didn’t want to get too hopeful.
Later, I found out her birthday was coming up. I had some gift cards lying around, so I thought it’d be nice to take her out. She was really excited about it… until we realized we needed a reservation and didn’t make one...So yeah, that plan failed. But thank to my quick thinking we ended up eating at BJ's and watched a movie instead that evening. Looking back, that was probably the moment we started falling for each other, and I didn’t even realize it.
I think it’s important to point out that in this whole story, I had never been in a relationship before, not once, and I had never been physical with anyone either. From a young age, I told myself I wanted to wait for “the one and only.” People definitely mocked me for it and told me it was impossible, and I won’t lie, there were moments where that got to me. But by staying positive and pushing myself to keep believing, I can now say with confidence that it is possible.
If you want something like that for yourself, you have to stay firm in who you are. Stick to your boundaries and stay true to your morals, even when people question you or try to convince you otherwise. It’s not an easy path at all, and there will be times where it feels frustrating or even discouraging, but if you keep reminding yourself that something meaningful is waiting at the end, you can get there. It’s hard, no doubt, but it’s absolutely possible.
Then came the moment. She invited me to a gala event, and man… I thought I was with the most beautiful women in the world! We danced (badly), laughed, and honestly just got lost in our own little world. At the end of the night, I drove her home. And sitting there, I was overthinking everything. But I knew I had to ask her the big question. So I did. “Are you okay with me kissing you?” I was terrified. But lo and behold… she said yes!
That first kiss? it was magical! But also a disaster in my head. My lips were reaallly dry, I didn’t know what I was doing, I was convinced I messed it up completely. When she asked to kiss again, I thought it was because the first one was that bad...
The next day, we had plans to eat together. When I picked her up, she told me something that shocked me. That was her first kiss too. She said she was just as nervous and thought she didn’t do well either. We both just straight up started laughing. That moment honestly made everything feel real.
A few months later, we talked about what we actually wanted in life. Turns out, we wanted the same thing. Something real. Something long-term. A future, a family, all of it. From that point on, we were inseparable. I graduated, we spent the next couple of years growing together, traveling, meeting each other’s families… And by the end of 2025, I asked her, “Will you marry me?” She said yes. Now we’re two months away from getting married.
If there’s one thing I can tell you, it’s this:
Stop chasing relationships. Focus on yourself. Build your life. Stick to your values, even when people tell you they’re unrealistic. Block out the constant negativity. Because when you do that, something weird happens, the right person tends to show up when you least expect it. Dating isn’t dead. Real relationships aren’t gone. You just have to stay true to yourself long enough to find them.
