When did things ramp up for you?

Question for you guys that have successfully launched and turned it into a side hustle. I am 4 weeks in post launch and am averaging about a purchase every 2 days. My free app starts users on a 1 day trial, then prompts them to unlock premium or stay on limited free features.

How long did it take to ramp up conversions in your app? Did it feel like a steady slope or staircase? Lastly, was it mostly ASO taking over later on or did you have to keep doing ads/self marketing?

Groundd: Mindful Keyboard 26 Codes Left!

Hello everyone,

Thanks to the success of my previous post, my Groundd keyboard app on the play store has skyrocketed to 4000+ downloads with very good reviews within 2 weeks! I have 26 remaining tokens after cleaning up the 500 I gave away last time! Any input on how I can improve the app/reviews would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Edit: Thank you guys again for the enthusiasm! I have now run out of my remaining codes for this quarter.

Physics & Fidgets in My Keyboard

Hello all,

It's been a wild journey and it all started here I this subreddit. Since the original debut of my app last week, my app called Groundd: Mindfulness Keyboard has accumulated over 3000 downloads!!

There are now over 20 fidgets included based on user feedback. After some users pointed the weaknesses in the keyboard side, i've improved the autocorrect, added swipe typing, and voice to text!

Thank you everyone for the support and the critiques through that helped me make it into the product it is today!

I Put a Bunch of Fidgets on My Keyboard!

Hey everyone,

I’m a massive fidgeter, especially when I'm stressed or trying to focus on writing emails/messages on my phone. The problem is I can't hold a physical fidget toy and type at the same time.

Since I'm a software dev, I decided to solve my own problem lol. I made my own keyboard and slapped a bunch of fidgets above it.

It's not as satisfying as real world plastic and metal but I made use of the haptic vibrations on the phone for tactile feedback. So far I've put in 12 fidgets. Let me know if anyone has any other fidget ideas I can put in. I'm always down to make more!

If anyone wants to try it out for free and give me some brutal honest feedback, you can find it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.groundd.keyboard

I Made an Android Keyboard With Fidgets!

It's called Groundd. The idea is that all of these grounding tools live inside the keyboard itself so you never have to leave what you're doing to use them.

Four tools accessible without switching apps:

  • Focus - haptic pulse tracks that shift rhythm to give your fingers something to anchor on
  • Breathe - box breathing animation in the keyboard toolbar
  • Draw - a small doodle canvas that opens mid-chat
  • Pop - tactile sliders, toggle switches, and bubble wrap with haptic feedback

Free 3-day trial with full access, then $9.99 one-time (no subscription). Message me if anyone would like to unlock premium for free permanently while I still have promo codes available.

Would love feedback - especially on the haptic feel, since that's the hardest thing to tune without a wider set of devices.

Built Embedded Haptic Fidgets and Box Breathing Into a 4MB Android Keyboard to Fight Stress & Anxiety

Hey guys,

Since I struggle heavily with restless fingers and phone anxiety, especially when waiting for responses or texting in general, I decided to brainstorm ideas for dealing with it from a new perspective. Instead of having to open up another app, I thought a solution next to a part we all stare at the most would be advantageous.

I built an Android keyboard app called Groundd. It puts tactile haptic buttons, a disappearing drawing pad, and a box breathing guide right onto the top row of your screen so you can stim or calm down without leaving your conversation or windows.

The video shows how the different modes feel when you pull the layout up. The basic fidget tools are completely free. Let me know what other textures, tools, or fidget ideas you think I should code into the interface next!
