Help me plan Spain trip

Hey everyone,

I’m planning a short trip to Spain (July 8–12) and I’m a bit stuck on how to structure it, especially July 11.

My current plan:

  • July 8: Arrive in Madrid, just do some light sightseeing
  • July 9: Festival (full day + late night, ends around 2 AM)
  • July 10: Day trip to Toledo
  • July 11: No plan yet
  • July 12: Prado Museum in the morning + fly back home

I originally thought about doing Seville or Valencia on July 11, but I’m not sure if it’s realistic with time, money, and energy after the festival + Toledo.

Now I’m debating:

  • Should I just stay in Madrid on July 11 and relax?
  • Or is it worth squeezing in another city like Segovia or Valencia?
  • I’m also on a bit of a budget, so trying not to overspend on transport + accommodation.

Main goal: I want to see “a lot of Spain,” but without completely burning out or wasting money on rushed trips.

Would really appreciate suggestions on how you’d structure July 11 or if my overall plan makes sense.

Thanks!

Dringend: Tragehilfe

Hello everyone,

I urgently need help today (Saturday) in Lehrte and super spontaneously to carry a sofa outside. I'm alone and just can't manage the heavy thing.

It really only takes a few minutes. Since I'm a student/apprentice, unfortunately my budget is very small, but I can offer you 15 € as a thank you!

If anyone has time and strong arms, please get in touch super quickly via direct message. Thank you so much!

From office management trainee to nursing in dual studies – would you switch?

Help me out!

I'm in Germany doing an Ausbildung as a Kauffrau für Büromanagement and I'm almost in my 2nd year. For the past few months, I've been dreading going to work and school. I don't like my company, and honestly, I don't enjoy Berufsschule either.

I've tried finding another company to continue my Ausbildung with, but I've been rejected every time. I also looked into remote jobs since I worked remotely before moving to Germany, but the job market has been really tough.

Because of that, I've been thinking about a career change. I applied for a duales Studium in Nursing, which would take 4 years, and surprisingly, I got accepted. The contract is literally sitting in front of me as I write this.

What attracts me to nursing is that it seems to offer better long-term job security and international mobility. I don't necessarily plan to stay in Germany forever, so having a profession that is in demand in different countries is appealing.

At the same time, I've read so many stories about nurses being overworked, understaffed, and burnt out. I'm worried about leaving an Ausbildung that I'm already halfway through for a completely different field.

So what would you do in my situation?

- Stay in the Büromanagement Ausbildung, finish it in about 2 years, and then try to figure things out afterward?

- Or switch to nursing and start over with a 4-year duales Studium that may offer more stability and opportunities in the future?

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who work in either field or have gone through a similar career change.

Was mich daran reizt:

-Mehr Kontakt zu Menschen

-Ein Beruf mit gesellschaftlichem Sinn

-Gute Zukunftsaussichten

Vielen Dank! 😊

I'm a foreigner living in Germany, 9 months into my Ausbildung as Kauffrau für Büromanagement, and I'm seriously considering quitting. Would love to hear from people who've been in a similar spot.

Here's my situation:

The German job market feels increasingly bleak, especially for admin roles. The core tasks I'm training for document management, scheduling, correspondence, feel like exactly what AI is going to eat first. And as a foreigner, I'm already competing at a disadvantage for roles that increasingly go to native speakers with local networks.

I also have prior experience in Customer Success and Account Management, which feels way more internationally portable and remote-friendly than what this Ausbildung is preparing me for. I don't even know if I want to stay in Germany long term, maybe go back home, maybe somewhere else entirely. This credential doesn't feel like it moves me toward any version of the future I actually want.

But I'm scared. I don't have anything lined up. I don't know how to explain quitting to people. And part of me wonders if I'm just being impatient or naive.

Has anyone quit their Ausbildung mid-way? Did you regret it? And for anyone who pivoted to remote work after, how did you actually land that first role?

Any honest perspectives appreciated, including if you think I'm making a mistake.
