My glorious otaku debuts as my first Kaiju no. 8 figure 😎

Side note: I didn’t realize how much cooler all the character outfits got after the Isao battle. I hope they release his final arc outfit as a figure (same with Hoshina and Kikoru)

Whisper of the Heart And How It’s Cool to Care

I honestly can’t nail down WHY this is my favorite Ghibli film, but something about it just feels right — like, “this is how life is meant to be.”

If there’s one thing I hate about 2026, it’s how ‘cool’ it’s become to be nonchalant. Watering down our personalities, the things we love, to make them more digestible for others feels ‘yuck’ 🥴 it’s cool to be yourself. It’s cooler to care!

The film separates the act of creating from the question of whether you’re talented enough to create — Shizuku doubts herself the entire time, but puts her heart on the page anyways. And before Seiji’s grandfather even tells her whether it’s good or not, she cries because it meant something to her, and it cost her something to make it.

His response was more or less, “this is rough, and it’s wonderful that you made it.”

So basically, whether you succeed or you don’t — whether you look the part or not — there’s value in caring about something and taking the step to do it.

Or something like that 😅

What's the general consensus on this style of SP? What's your favorite style?

Hi! What's everyone's thoughts on this style of SP? Personally, it's my favorite.

But the fact that I see more recent sets deviating from it (OP-15 in particular) and doing the style they did for the Whitebeard, Sabo, etc. makes me think it's not that popular. Would love to be wrong though.

On a separate note - what IS your favorite style of SP?

[B-Side] Feel like Matsumoto wanted to show this in the manga, but knew he’d get backlash.

The anime has always beaten around the bush when it comes to how Kikoru feels about Kafka, but I think the B-Side stories were Matsumoto’s way of getting how he really felt off his chest lol.

I see it as nothing more than a puppy crush, but it does make her more charming knowing her mental dialogue whenever she see’s Kafka.

Finished the manga. This series had SO much more to give 😭

The last fight was cool and all, and I guess we technically got to see Kafka achieve his goal, but we could have been great!!!

Just off the top of my head, I can think of at least 3 ways they could have gone after that last battle. I know power creep is never great and you could play that game forever, but even just one last villain to exterminate all Kaiju could have given us one last long arc to wrap it all up.

Oh well 😮‍💨 Going to cope that I don’t get to spend more time with my favorite cast of characters, or see who Kafka ends up with… or see more of Reno fight and reach his full potential… or see Kikoru become the greatest of all time.

Is this a top 3 coolest Blackbeard card?

Is it just me or is the texture on this card so sick? Not even a big Blackbeard fan but outside of the 2 big SP’s, I feel like this is the next best one.

On a separate note, I hope they do a silver version of this but for Rocks lol

What did you learn (what “clicked”) at each rank for you to start winning and rank up?

Hi! I’m relatively new to league and I love it (hot take, I know lol).

As someone who’s played lots of fighting games, the common through-line for whenever I ranked up was something starting to click at each rank (e.g. learning to block, figuring out anti-airs, implementing more offense).

So, I was wondering - whenever you’ve been stuck at a rank for a bit, what needed to click before you started winning/ended up stuck at another rank?

Looking to expand out of the JRPG bubble - any recommendations?

Hi! As the title suggests, I mainly play JRPGs. A few of my favorite games/series are (in no particular order):

- Persona (3/5)
- Final Fantasy (7/9/10/14/15)
- Kingdom Hearts
- Expedition 33

I also love older games like Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Viewtiful Joe, etc.

But lately, I’ve only been able to enjoy JRPGs because the style of storytelling fits what I’m looking for out of games (hype/big stakes). The thing is, most JRPGs with stories I enjoy are turn-based, so the experiences have been feeling REALLY repetitive.

That being said, I was wondering if you had any game recommendations that are not turn-based, not a mainstream jrpg franchise, and has a good story?

A few I’ve been considering/interested in are:

- Stellar Blade
- Romeo is a Dead Man
- No More Heroes 1/2/3
- Armored Core Fires of Rubicon

I am open to indie games as well as long as they have an engaging story!

Thank you ahead of time 🙏
