Throwback to when a single fan from the stands started to sing for Luis Cruz in a farm game in Japan:

I like kits better when they have sponsors on the front

Call me corporate-washed or whatever, but I’ve always thought that football kits look better when they have a sponsor at the front.

I’m not saying that having any sponsor on a kit automatically makes a kit look better, though. The design of the kit and the logo has to work together in order to look good, and I feel that looks much more complete when compared to a blank counterpart. I absolutely despise Bournemouth’s kit this season for this reason.

Take Stockport County’s kits with their VITA sponsor. Their home kits these last few years are one of the most attractive kits I’ve ever seen. The clean blue color and the modern and simplistic VITA logo looks really nice. If you showed me the same kit without the sponsor, I probably wouldn’t have the same opinion.

Although it is just up to personal preferences at this point, I’ve seen people go out of their way to ask for sponsorless kits to purchase, even though I feel the kit looks better with it, barring religious reasons or being against sports gambling. (Sports betting company logos rarely look nice anyway!)

Difficulty of the test compared to this book?

Hi! I’m taking the IELTS exam for the first time in a few days, and I’ve been preparing for it using this book.

I mainly focused on writing and reading and didn’t practice listening as much as I thought it won’t be an issue. But when I tried the listening portion I could only score low 30s, which is between 6.5 and 7.0. (I’m going for a score over 7.5)

Concerned, I took the IDP computer-based familiarization listening test and managed to attain a full score. It was considerably easier than the questions asked in that book.

To other people who might have used this book to prepare for the test, is the actual difficulty of the IELTS exam similar to it? Or is the IDP exam more accurate?

Test Innovators or Uworld?

I apologize if this is a common question here, but I’ve searched for past posts about this but I couldn’t find any that were conclusive.

I tried the free version of both websites, I really like how Test Innovators give gives me a predicted score based on practice questions. (Although I do think it’s a bit severe, I’ve seen people comment about that here too) and I also like how Uworld’s test screen is very similar to the actual blue book test and I personally think the questions are a lot more realistic.

I got a 1320 on the June SAT (640 in Reading/Writing and 680 on Math) and I’m aiming for something like 1450 on the September SAT. I’ve done all the practice tests offered by blue book, and I got a 1510 on the most recent test. I’ve done the question bank questions until I’ve seen them all once.

All in all, what did you guys use to prepare for the test? Did it actually help you attain the score you want?
