I started reading absolute GL when there were about six issues out and I was somewhat lost and confused. I soldiered on and when we hit a dozen issues I did a reread which actually helped a lot.

Now that we are what, nearly 20 issues in? I must confess that I am a little lost again and probably in need of a reread.

I'm not specifically asking for an explanation of the story, what I'm interested in is do you guys think it will pay off? Will the pieces coalesce into something with impact that feels.. earned? I feel like world building and setting up the pieces has been the majority of the story without giving room for more character growth?

It's not like it hasn't been throwing new things at us constantly. Maybe it's a pacing issue for me. And the fact that with so many characters it feels less emotionally resonant at times.

Batman has emotional weight, same with Diana and Kal. I feel like Martian Manhunter was insanely powerful. Green lantern, the only thing that is really hit me emotionally has been the character work with Cameron Chase. (whom I am in love with)

Im just wondering if you guys feel like it'll hit a stride and we'll all have a collective aha moment. Or is this one continuous cryptic puzzle to dissect month by month?

I love the series. Vol 1 tpb is 1-5 issues and vol2 tpb is 6-9. Both $17. Im wondering if it'd make sense to hold out for a deluxe hc with all 9 issues.

I know with DC they have a pretty streamlined process from single issues to tpb and hc followed by deluxe editions, absolutes and or omnis.

But im unfamiliar how often the process happens with image. I looked into it a bit and it seems like its creator focused so unless Camp himself initiates ​it they might just stop at tpbs. But I believe sales have been great.

Anyone else considering triple dipping for the series or trade waiting? Anyone more familiar with how often Image collects HCs from current series? Appreciate any responses

When I first encountered one of the assassin's coins in the bayou I was in the slave persona. It didn't allow me to loot the coin and when I go back they will not respawn.. am I boned?

I have 9/10 coins and am fairly certain of this is the one I have missed. I have swapped in and out of outfits to make sure I was in the assassin gear, left the bayou and came back but the NPC has not reappeared.

I guess starting a new playthrough for this last trophy might be the only way? I tried replaying sequences to see if they'd spawn there but to no avail.

Just curious if anyone has any advice or tips. Thanks

What do you think the odds are that I could hit James Gunn or Tom King on Twitter and convince them to throw it in the end credits of the Mister Miracle animated series?​

Safe to say Superman would be next right? All three flagship series are around issue 20 and Supes feels a bit overdue if they're doing it. Definitely would not mind a thicker issue fleshing out the rest of the world.

With that being said, Flash and Green Lantern just passed their 12 issue mark so if they are getting annuals you would think it'd be close-ish. Has anyone read or heard anything from the creators?
