Me and my family are moving from the US to the Netherlands in a couple of days, going to Eindhoven! I’m sad to leave friends and family behind and pretty scared about the change but also excited. Anyone else here moved from the US to Eindhoven? Or the Netherlands in general? How’s your life now? Do you love it?

Like I posted on my previous post my dad is visiting me from Brazil. He is OBSESSED with drumming… thats his dream hobby. Unfortunately he was never able to afford drums/ drum classes in Brazil due to the price. I took him to Guitar Center to finally play it for the first time and he actually SHREDDED?? He wants to play more but he’s embarrassed to go back lol
Well my question is, is there any place I can rent a room with the drums (like a drum classroom) where he can play it for like 1h? He doesn’t want to take classes or anything, he just wants to jam and play his favorite songs. Honestly hes so fucking good even though he never played a real set before
My dad is coming to visit me from Brazil and he really wants to try good pancakes! Any recommendations? I don’t usually have breakfast out.

Me and my husband are both cnc swiss screw machinists and we are moving from the US to the NL. I’m a EU citizen so I have the right to work and so does he, thats not an issue. I’m curious how’s the job market atm. I don’t speak Dutch yet unfortunately but ive seen a lot of companies hired based on English only. Any insights? I’ve tried Technix for help but I’m not sure if it will work out as they are not very responsive.

I’m a experienced CNC turner machinist and I’ve been applying for jobs for the past 2 months and nothing 😭 how’s the job market there? Also I don’t speak Dutch atm, will that be a problem? Nao sei se esse subreddit é o certo mas quem sabe alguém tem a informação que eu procuro. Acabei de tirar minha cidadania portuguesa, estou nos EUA, preciso voar pra Boston pra tirar meu primeiro cartao cidadao. Estou confusa sobre esse requerimento “Para além de respeitar as regras acima descritas, o cidadão naturalizado tem de apresentar uma certidão de nascimento com averbamento de nacionalidade." Ate onde eu saiba eu preciso trazer o documento que recebi da Conservatória de Registros Centrais de Lisboa e uma forma de identificação. Alguem sabe oq essa certidão de nascimento com averbamento é? Eu tentei liga no consulado mas ninguem atende…
