Discover, Download, and Play: Introducing Google Play in Gemini

Follow these quick steps to make sure everything is set up correctly:

  1. Enable Gemini Activity

The feature requires your activity history to be turned on.

Open the Gemini app.

Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.

Go to Settings > Gemini Apps Activity.

Make sure it is set to Turn on.

  1. Enable the Google Play Extension

In the Gemini app, tap your profile icon again.

Select Extensions.

Find Google Play in the list and toggle it on.

  1. Check Requirements

Make sure you are signed in with a personal Google Account (it won't work with Workspace/business accounts).

Ensure your Gemini app and Google Play Store app are fully updated to the latest versions.

Once that's done, you can just ask Gemini things like, "Recommend a good logic puzzle game" or "Install [App Name]".

Detailing the intricate gold work. Captured with Pixel 10a

The sensor handled the contrast between the reflective gold surfaces and the dim church interior.

What’s your Pixel A-series history? Let’s see your lineup!

My lineup is the Pixel 4a 5G, 7a, 8a and 10a. It got me thinking—how long have you been a fan of the A-series? Which ones have you owned over the years?

Pointing the Pixel 10a directly into the evening sun.

Taken at 7:30 PM, pointing directly into the harsh evening sun. No edits, straight out of the camera.

Is anyone with a Pixel 10a experiencing the "no ring" bug?

Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about an issue where incoming calls aren't triggering a ringtone, and users only find out about them via a "missed call" notification later. It seems to be affecting quite a few Pixel users on Android 17. I'm wondering if anyone here is experiencing this too? I've seen suggestions about resetting mobile network settings (Settings > System > Reset > Reset Mobile Network Settings) as a temporary fix.

Now that the June Feature Drop has been out for a couple of weeks, how is your Pixel 10a holding up?

It brought some awesome upgrades, including a feature that was previously exclusive to the premium Pixel 10 series:

Voice Translate: Live, two-way translation during phone calls. For the 10a, it supports French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Universal Bubbles: You can now force floating chat bubbles for basically any app installed on your phone, not just a few select messengers.

Screen Reactions: A built-in tool that lets you record your front camera reaction while doing a screen recording.

How are these features working out for you?

New "Pixel Audio Services" app on the Play Store for Pixel 10a – what is it?

Hey everyone, you might have noticed a new app called Pixel Audio Services showing up on the Play Store for our Pixel 10a devices.

It’s basically a "background engineer" for your phone’s audio. Google released this so they can push out audio improvements or quick bug fixes (like fixing speaker crackle or mic issues) instantly, without having to wait for a big monthly system update.

It’s similar to Pixel Camera Services. You don't need to do anything—just let it update in the background, and it’ll keep your audio running smoothly.

Shot on Pixel 10a

Really love how the Pixel handled the contrast between the red facade and the afternoon light. Straight out of the camera, no edits.

Testing out the macro capabilities on the Pixel 10a (SOOC)

I used the 2x zoom trick from a short distance to get a cleaner look, and I’m honestly blown away by how well it captured the texture and layers of the petals.

Just a quick camera test with the Pixel 10a (SOOC)

Really impressed by how it handled the details and wrinkles on the statue.

Pixel 10a Night Sight test

I’m loving the dynamic range here. Look at the text on the truck/billboard and the clean sky with almost zero noise. Google’s image processing is still pure magic.

Thinking about the official Google Pixel 10a case?

I stumbled upon a review of the official Google Pixel 10a case in the Fog color over at techbuzzireland.com. It looks like a good choice, but the review mentions it lacks any built-in magnets for magnetic accessories. Are you going with the official Google case, or did you pick up something else?

Just got a Pixel 10a? Here are 5 things you should do first!

Welcome to the community! If you just picked up your new Pixel 10a, there are a few settings you should tweak to get the best experience right out of the box. Here are the top tips:

Turn on the 120Hz display: It's off by default to save battery, so head to settings and enable "Smooth display" for a much smoother experience.

Try the Macro Focus: Get as close as 2.5cm to your subject with the 48MP main camera; just look for the flower icon in the corner!

Adjust your screen colors: Not a fan of the vivid colors? Switch from "Adaptive" to "Natural" in the display settings for a more true-to-life look.

Test the Satellite SOS: You can try a demo of the Pixel Satellite SOS feature in the Safety & emergency settings to know exactly how it works before you ever need it.

Learn with Camera Coach: Use this feature to get real-time tips on composition from Gemini-powered models to help improve your photography skills.

r/Pixel10a

r/Pixel10a has been set to private and shows no signs of active moderation or public activity.
I sent a mod mail on 9 May 2026 expressing my interest in helping with moderation or taking over to open the community, but I have received no response.
I am an active Reddit user with genuine intent to build a neutral, independent community for Pixel 10a users. As the Google Pixel 10a is a popular device, the community deserves to be an active, public hub for sharing photos, reviews, and experiences. I am prepared to actively moderate and grow this subreddit.

Working at Bosch and wondering about the current strategy.

Hey everyone, I’m working at Bosch and honestly, I’m struggling to understand where we’re heading.
We keep seeing layoffs on the technical side, while it feels like we’re pouring all our profits from the profitable diesel division into EV projects that aren't really breaking even yet. It feels like we’re burning out our stable core to feed an expensive transition that’s taking way too long to pay off.
Is anyone else in the industry seeing this, or is it just me who feels like our priorities are completely backwards? Curious to hear your thoughts.

Is anyone considering upgrading from the iPhone 15 to the 16e/17e just for Apple Intelligence? Is it worth the budget hit?

I’m currently using an iPhone 15, and honestly, it’s a great phone that easily handles everything I need. But with Apple pushing their AI features so heavily, I’m starting to feel a bit left out since the base 15 doesn't support them.
With the upcoming 16e and 17e models on the horizon, I’ve been trying to weigh if they are a smart budget move.
I'm really curious about your take on this:

Are any of you considering upgrading to these cheaper 'e' models strictly because you want access to Apple Intelligence?

Do you think getting a budget-friendly model is a smart way to get AI without breaking the bank, or is it better to just stick with the iPhone 15 and skip the AI hype altogether?

How do you justify the extra cost when your current phone still runs perfectly fine?

I’m torn between saving my budget or upgrading just to stay up-to-date with the new software features. What are your thoughts?

To everyone who switched from iPhone to a Pixel: What was the final straw?

Leaving an ecosystem you are used to for years is always a big step. I recently made the decision to change things up and switched over to the Pixel 10a, mostly because I wanted to try Google's legendary camera processing and enjoy more freedom with customization. So far, it has been a really great experience.
I am curious about others who made a similar jump: Which Pixel model did you choose as your new daily driver, what was the specific reason that finally made you switch, and how are you liking the experience so far?
Let us hear your stories!
