Honestly why?

Why do people gift this family and send them things? With everything that’s come out I’m really curious as to why people are still supporting them like this and I’m curious to see how much they actually make from all this.

They have been able to get more expensive things and set things up with the live streaming.

Does anyone else get this reaction when expressing negative emotions from men?

Note: I am (f) and getting this response from (m).

I’ve been going through a theme lately of others doing something neglectful or hurtful and when I show an ounce of frustration or anger it’s labeled as : bad temper, too emotional, bad, etc.

I do not name call, punch things or lash out, I don’t accuse or insult. I just show the frustration.

Example would be - friend watching house while I am out, he neglectfully left my ac running for over a day, I don’t have a current job or money to spend extra for the bill, he blames this occurring by my bad instructions, and I tell him if he did exactly what I said (per google instructions) then it wouldn’t have happened so he did a step wrong, he tells me I’m being a jerk for being upset that he made a mistake.

This has happened along these lines of an act is done and I get upset or hurt or frustrated or angry and the person (m) labels me as someone with a temper or quick to anger. I explain that humans are allowed to show frustration from a situation and shouldn’t attack or insult but be angry and take the moments for their anger. But I am often met with them saying these things every time I show emotion outside of happy or playful or positive feelings, and condemned for any negative emotions I display. It’s met with a label of some type. Crazy, emotional, or told to calm down. All the while being calm but expressive. Attempting to communicate the frustration and why it has occurred. Met with little to no accountability from the person and being told I ‘could have reacted better’. I ask how would you have reacted to get different perspectives and they will respond in a way that has no negative emotions attached in the response. Just calm and collected as if it doesn’t even bother them if they were to have the same thing occur. When I know that’s not how humans operate and that I have seen them upset over other things. It’s like a lack of empathy or something.

Why is it labeled ‘bad’ when showing frustration towards an action that someone did that was hurtful/negligent?

EDIT: I didn’t call him neglectful to him or use it as a form of argument. I called it was it was a mistake but still was upset as I showed him, read on google and was on the phone giving instructions. He doesn’t have apple for FaceTime or I could have done that but this is just an example of a situation out of many.

Emotional abuse… there is no ‘winning’ with them (Personal story)

I’m visiting a long time ex in another state and for context we dated for 5 years ten years ago and this past year we have been reconnecting. This is my second visit to his state but this time is longer and I don’t have a friend with me so it’s just him and I.

Since I’ve been here we have had two big blow up fights and he has been contrarian about 80% of the time. The first argument was started because he said that we had to go to the next town over an hour away so he could meet with a buddy and train in the middle of the plans we made and agreed to and he never mentioned this. When I brought it up he said that it was always the plan but didn’t tell me, then said it was a suggestion, then said it was for his work and that it was needed. It blew up because he wouldn’t let me finish a sentence and said he technically can say he is going to do it anyway and I wouldn’t have a say. I tried explaining that if there is no communication and I don’t know or am told then it’s a change of plans to what was agreed on. I had to just leave for a walk and came back to him apologizing and saying my plans are the most important.

Next day the bad one we made plans and on the way he was googling places to go such as the springs and where I am from we have hot springs which I kept referring to and the weather in his state is south humid and hot which I said I didn’t want to get hear sickness with hot springs. He said it wasn’t hot and he has been a bunch. I looked online and it said warm springs with the temperature. He said the website is lying and said I was calling him a liar. I never did and I recorded a voice note of the 6 minute conversation where he began to berate me calling me a coward for implying that he was a liar. I was triggered and reactive abuse kicked in. I yelled and said I never called him a liar and he responded saying I disrespected him and “fuck you” “shut the fuck up” “find a hotel room to stay. I don’t even want you here and wish you would leave.” He deleted my number from his phone saying he will never speak to me again and said I was loosing him money because he got a job offer that morning for the weekend and couldn’t go cause I was there. It was the whole hour of threats of dropping me off on the side of the road in a state I don’t know or know anyone. Said he would punch a man if they spoke to him like that but because I am a woman he wouldn’t. Just absolute abusive hour long threats and extremes. Mocked me when I responded and after said it was because I disrespected him by yelling. For past trauma and fear is contacted my mom and thought I was going to be left on the side of the road. More things were said that were along those lines for the hour of the drive. He apologized again and said he would never do something like that to me and people say hurtful things when they are mad. I am in survival mode trying to wait these next day or two out while I am here but I feel like I’m being gaslit and it turned me off to ever visiting again. He can’t control his emotions and I told him physical abuse isn’t the only type and what he was doing was 100% abusive emotionally and mentally. A misunderstanding or “the wrong word” can set him off. Aka the hot springs vs warm. He held onto that word as a lifeline for his argument saying hot is different than warm. It’s insanity and I misspoke. He couldn’t accept that. He kept contradicting himself in the recordings saying I was safe with him and then saying he would knock out anyone who would talk to him like that. Saying he would never leave me stranded and then saying he would drop me off at a random side of the road and never look back. This man is 40 btw. Disagreeing and saying I was wrong every time I brought something up from a small fact I knew to the places I researched to visit. It’s exhausting
