I was setting up my online account for my new to me Taycan. I found out there are those two packages are being offered - Porsche Intelligent Range Manager and Car Security Package. Any one is currently using one or the other or both? Are they worth it? The PIRM is a one time fee. How is any different from the basic Navigation? better function?

For the car security package, is it similar to Tesla CAM or Rivian Gear Guard?

Want to know if I want to powder coat my OEM wheels, will it void the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan?

Has anyone tried to put All Season tires with their 20” wheels? If yes, any range gain?

I have all kinds of question for my new to me CPO Taycan GTS. But I really want to hear some of you who have experience with MapEV. Besides not forgetting to switch back for service visit and to void CPO warranty, is there any additional benefits to adding this? From my understanding, 0-60 is the same. It only makes the rolling acceleration better. I guess the limiting factor is the motor configuration. Can anyone talk me into or out of it? Thank you for your time

Can anyone Taycan owners comment on their real world range? Efficiency and average speed? In particular, Gen 1 2024 Taycan GTS?

My 1 week experience has been pretty shocking that the range prediction is fairly accurate unlike my other EVs. But… can you realistically get more than the stated/ EPA range?

Anyone here wrap their Taycan? Do you see any benefits? I am leaning toward no because I never do. But being a Porsche, not sure what my approach should be? I want to guess the paint job should hold up better many cars correct? I expect to get rock chips and plan to enjoy this any way I can. What’s your take?

Recently got a CPO 2024 Taycan GTS. I am still trying to understand the Porsche technology here. I want to ask if any US owners can guide me to the right direction.

1. Do we have to pay for any connectivity services like Rivian or Tesla? If yes how?

2. Can you watch Netflix or other streaming services? If yes how?

List of steps in making sure you are protecting your info after selling/trading in your Rivian.

1. Cancel your Connect+ subscription inside the car. I actually pay annually. I was under the assumption that I will not get any money back. I was 5 months into my renewed subscription. Tesla didn’t refund me before so I assumed Rivian wouldn’t too. But surprisingly, I received a prorated refund after I removed ownership. So bravo Rivian!

2. In app, you removed your key fob

3. After you complete your paperwork at the dealership, go back to your car and clear all data with center screen. But I went with the extra steps before doing that. I signed out Apple Music/ erased garage info first.

4. In App again, under your account, toggle for remove car and follow the steps.

5. Inform insurance and DMV about release of liabilities.

All these took me about 8-10 minutes maximum. Not painful at all.

I am about to close on a CPO Taycan. I am not new to EV but def new to Porsche. I want to know what maintenance does a Porsche Taycan would have? All I know is wipe, wipe fluid, tires, what else am I missing here? Also, do you bring in your Taycan into service center like ICE Porsches? Thank you! Appreciate your time!

I want to ask current or previous R1 owners about their current thoughts on their R2. I have a few questions I am dying to get some clarity on.

1. Did you replace or add the R2 to your garage? Do you miss your R1? And Why? Also, which gen of R1 do/did you have?

2. Is efficiency really that great? If yes, do you feel that the small battery size actually get you to visit the SuperCharger more frequently than the R1?

3. If your leases of your Gen 2 R1 is up, would you consider R2 over R1? Or you would go for the Gen 3 R1 instead?

Hi. I am currently looking into some used CPOs. Can anyone tell me in general what model year for a 4S or GTS is most reliable? What options or packages are important to have? Any negotiation tactic I can use in my favor to score a great car? Thank you.

Can recent R2 owners please comment on real world efficiency? Whats your highway and city driving ratio? I am trying to configure between 20 and 21. I know with my R1 efficiency is bad with the 20 but road comfort is superb. However given the R2 battery is so much smaller, I am doubting the 20 inch option. Please let me hear your feedback.

For those who are on the fence about ordering a new Gen 2 Quad with 20 AT Burnished Bronze wheel setup, you might want to consider ordering soon. Rivian pull that selection off the customizable menu. You can only find R1S or R1T with those wheels under inventory. Not sure they will continue to build without custom order.

I personally like the Burnished Bronze. Of course, you can order alternative Bronze shades from other vendors as well. just FYI.

I am new to this forum. I am currently considering the Taycan to be my next EV. I have been an EV owner for about 6 years now. Currently have multiple R1s in my garage. I have been told that Taycan is in its own class in terms of performance and handling. So that made me want to explore it more. But… man the website is so confusing. I am very confused with all the trims. Perhaps someone can guide me to the right trim.

I have a Gen 2 Quad R1 with 1000+ HP and I need the range because I travel 150-200 miles on a daily basis. I don’t mind going down a bit in horsepower if the trade off is comfort and handling.

Want to see if anyone is willing to share what functions you discovered from Rivian Assistant. I will start:

1. it can close/open garage without touching the screen or the wheel scroll button.
2. it can add stop or final destination to an existing navigation route
3. it can turn on car camera and alternate between views without touching
4. open apps like YouTube, Apple Music, GearGuard, Control panel
5. complex command like I am cold and please turn on my seat heater

What have you learned so far?

Need help in setting up text messaging. I can’t seem to solve what Bluetooth connection setting is needed for text. I checked both Phone and Car settings. Can someone please help me unstuck? Thank you.

Correct me if I am wrong or if I am not remembering correctly. Teslas in car route planning allows us to enter multiple addresses randomly and then the computer will process and plan the most efficient route for you. Unless you move the destination based on your preference. Is that right?

Now is there an option for our Rivian in car route planner? If yes, please tell me how to select it? Thanks!
