This is moment a man was struck by lightning and collapses to the ground while walking to the dentist during a freak storm.
Unbelievable footage shows a bright beam violently zap Thomas Fahmy during a thunderstorm in Staten Island, New York.
RING door video shows Thomas strolling in the rain past a white picket fence along Todd Avenue last Thursday.
Thomas – who was clutching an umbrella at the time – suddenly falls to the ground as a bright orange firebolt hits him. He told WNBC: “I was nearly 15, 20 ft away from my car when I was struck by lightning. It was a very intense burning sensation, tingling, numbness, pain. Sever pain in both of my feet.” He cried out for help while he lay on the pavement upon which a neighbor came to his aid. Following the ordeal Thomas was rushed to Northwell Staten Island University Hospital, where he was kept overnight for evaluation. He was discharged the next day virtually unharmed.
