Hi, Omaha, short time no see

Hi, everyone. I have a weird situation. I have lived here my whole life. I have one adult friendship and my partner who lives in a different town.

I am exceedingly introverted to a crippling level and have locked myself into my own hell. I don't know how to make friends as an adult. I graduated UNO with 0 friends made.

I guess the question is, where do I go to make friends here? I work in CB, I live in a part of Omaha that I can't do much in, and I'm terrified to be seen. But it's needed. Any and all recommendations are welcome, tbfh. I just, am sick of playing this life game on single-player mode ig?

Edit for info: I'm really into fiber arts, go to the Joslyn or another museum 3-4x per month, and lose myself in one of the libraries once a week on average. I don't like sports or booze, but I can talk about hockey well enough. Most of my acquaintances range 2x my age and are older folks who are much more into fiber arts than I am.

Edit 2: NOT LOOKING FOR A DATE

OCD combo punch

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have been diagnosed since January of 2024 I believe. I'm still fighting the spirals (roughly a year, where I always hit the same major factors and feelings every year), which isn't really why I'm here and writing this (while at work).

Big events always happen for me in June. This is my partner and my third June together, and it's my birthday month. We both tend to hit major depressive episodes this month and I can feel mine starting.

The question is- OCD is handing me intrusive thoughts like I should know how to handle it. Depression is being... depression. I was just wondering if someone here would have advice. If there's already a thread, please lmk! I appreciate any help!

Any help, specifically on mitigating the intrusive thoughts (specifically in terms of feeling like it's impossible for me to take care of the depression).

Thanks, yall!!

Worst in awhile

Hello all fellow migraine havers. I have the worst migraine I've had in a long time. Like, cried on the floor under my desk for the 30 min before work and hour after bc it was the darkest space I could escape to in the circumstances. Like my curtains are making too much noise. And I've tried all my crazier hacks like clips on the brows, yanking at my hair, avoiding spicy foods, as well as all the more normal ones like dark and quiet and water and not laying fully flat.

I have no 🍃 for tonight and was wondering- what's the most insane thing you've done to get rid of a migraine? What's your go to, non- proven thing that helps you?

I'll prob check this in the morning bc even the movement of typing is making me nauseous.

Also! Wishing all those here tonight the best in surviving this one, it's probably a big one and I'm wishing all the non migraine thoughts to you
