LaCloche Silhouette trail water access

What is water access like on the LaCloche trail? I’ve done it many years ago and don’t really recall. I think I remember long sections at the top of the loop with poor access (either too high up to get at easily or swampy)? Any insight is appreciated!

997 R colourway

I’m digging these 997 R’s in this colourway (cortado with tornado) but I’m having a hard time figuring out if this is a brown + green colourway or a brown + grey colourway from the online images. Anyone have these or another shoe with this combination that can shed some light on this? I’m more interested in the beef and broccoli look (brown + green look). Let me know.

Best cheese for hiking

I’ll be on a 5 night hike next month and would like to take a cheese along. I’m thinking an aged gouda would do the trick? What do you folks take out there that holds up well? I’d love some recommendations. Thanks.

Short Hills P.P. - Trail 6

I love hiking/running in Short Hills Provincial Park and I’ve noticed a newer park map recently. Gone from the map is trail 6 (Terrace Creek Trail). This used to be one of my favourite paths - especially ‘outside 6’ (the section that is on the east side of the park that loops out and back to the Black Walnut Trail). I explored it the other day and it was overgrown, had many downed trees to the point where it was difficult to follow the original path. What decisions go into letting this beautiful trail be reclaimed by nature? Can I start a petition to bring it back? Too bad.

Killarney re: bugs

Hiking the Lacloche trail in the first week of July and I’m just curious about the bugs. Any experience on what the black flies and mosquitoes would be like on the trail? Should I pack a net or bug spray or just tough it out? Thanks for any input.

Balding affecting eyebrows

I’m a 40 year old bald guy - started thinning/balding just after high school. For the last 10 years or do I’ve noticed my eyebrows thinning/balding from the outside in. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!

Ball hockey - men’s

Does anyone know if there are any ball hockey leagues/groups out there for men? I’m a 40 year old guy looking for something other than ballhockey.com Niagara (I’ve reached out to them multiple times over the last few years and have never heard back). I’m okay with a mixed age group but ideally, I’m not looking to be the only old guy out there with teenagers. Thanks.

Family photo session

Looking to see if anyone knows of any decent places that do family photos for a reasonable cost. I’d love to find a studio kinda of like what Sears used to have where you roll in and someone takes a bunch of pictures of your family in different poses in front of whatever backdrop you choose. In doing my research, it looks like those places are extinct. What’s the next best thing? Any recommendations? Thanks.

Leafs vs Leaf?

Shouldn’t the banner behind Mats say LEAFS and not LEAF?

Full time Ontario RN here working 12 hour shifts on a 4/5 schedule. Just curious about how you guys use your H days. I understood you could just insert them into your days off to get a pay top up for that time period. Can you also take them as paid days/hours off? I know they only count as 7.5 hours per H day so could I use vacation hours (3.75) to cover the remainder to get an entire shift off paid?

I’m just wondering how others use these 12 H days.

Thanks.
