Hey all,

I am done with secondary fermentation, and I’ve been spending the last three weeks trying to clear up the wine.

Last year with this same wine, I had no issues clearing it with bentonite. I have no idea what changed this time around, other than I had more pounds of muscadines.

I used bentonite clay (16g) for 3 gallons of wine. Let that sit for 2 weeks. That didn’t do much. So I stirred up the bentonite again and this time cold crashed for another week.

It’s just not clearing up.

I know that it’s okay if it’s a bit cloudy, but I really do prefer to have the look of a mostly clear wine.

What should I try next?

Cool with FWB or Destin. Good with cover bands or some local music—indie rock, emo, pop punk all up my alley.

I checked Google but it’s not really being super helpful.

I have bees on my property snd have 4 gallons of honey. Id like to try my hand at mead. I have a 5 gallon, 3 gallon, and 1 gallon carboys available.

Ideally I make a 3 gallon batch, if possible.

I also have blackberries and blueberries from my garden I’d like to use.

Any good recipes you recommend?

I have made 3 batches of wine, with two more going right now, so I’m not completely unfamiliar.

4 days ago, I got an alert that “remote features were disabled to preserve the battery” or something.

I went out and checked the truck and doubt nothing weird about it. It started up. I checked around and checked for a slightly cracked door or something, but everything was normal.

I drove this thing all week for work so it’s not like it’s just been sitting.

We went out of town for 4 days. Got back and went to start it—completely dead. No lights, not nothing. No reason I can see for the battery to just drain.

Thoughts? I’m about to jump start it, but what could be the issue?

My allergies almost always manifest in predictable ways:

Almost no symptoms other than eye/brow pressure, headaches, mental fog, and occasional fatigue.

I might sneeze a couple times at most, but my nose never runs.

It’s. Just. Sinus. Pressure.

This has been one of my WORST years. I have had a persistent on and off brow/eye pressure for the last 3 weeks.

Is something different going on this year?
