[Berkeley] Bidding strategy

How do you think about the house? We like the place a lot! ❤️ It's the only house that has the desirable location, school district, layout, sqft for us. Best, it retains the old Berkeley charming decoration with upgraded electrical wiring and pipes. There are many other groups attending open house while we were there. We anticipate competitive bids.

Any bidding strategy advice is appreciated!

Learn sports without being competitive

I've taken a look at the intramural sports and club sports. I'm interested in learning fencing or lacrosse. These are only offered at club sports. I'm novice in these sports and I heard Clubs can be competitive and mostly for undergraduate.

I'm a graduate student and can't devote too much time to a competitive team. Do I still have chance to join the club? Where else can I learn the sports?

Dorm and parking

I'm moving cross states. Can I drive into the dorm area and unload the stuff? Similarly, if I hire moving service, they will also be driving to the dorm area.

Does the dorm provide parking space? I don't drive to the campus but want to drive during weekend.

EECS 490 Homework

I am trying to learn the course before actually taking it. The only thing I am missing is the homework. Would someone be kind enough to share the homework? Please don't share the answer. I will honestly work on the homework.
(I don't have access to Canvas yet)

Really valuable or fun Graduate level Cognate courses

Taking at least 1 graduate cognate course is a requirement in my program. I have already taken necessary courses within CSE and would like to use Cognate to expand my horizon: expand social/professional circle, dive into other disciplines (if I'm capable), acquire some business skills... Could you share experience taking Cognate courses?

pre IPO options

Any potential route?

I'm an employee of a promising tech company; IPO may be around the corner. But I may need to leave the company for personal reason right before/after IPO. The trouble is: there's about 6 months or longer holding period and I will need to exercise the options within 3 months of quitting. That means, waiting for IPO may actually make my options void! Besides, I don't have enough funds to pay for the exercise cost.

One solution I think of is to involve with a qualified investor (maybe via Equty Bee), exercise (buy) the option before IPO, then sell after.

Please advise potential solutions or connect me with potential investors. Thanks!

I will not promote -- Handling options while IPO + leaving the company

Founders of failed startup

I am curious about the impact of personal finance, particularly those whose companies got rounds of funding but eventually failed before going IPO or got acquired. That implies, your options/equities are gone.

How much "salary" did you get paid per year? Were there incentive plans? As the company grows, did you "salary" or option grants go up?

Startup is a long journey, how did you manage the potential huge downside financial risks? Did you sell part of the options to the investor on the way?

Hey, i have a 3b3b SFH (>1500 sqft) in SW Berkeley, currently occupied by good tenants. It is partially covered by rent board. There's no restrictions on rent increase, just eviction protection (I could elaborate in private)

Where can I advertise my property to off market buyers? Can you share good real estate attorneys to facilitate the transactions?
