Consider this my attempt at influencing you to read this book.

I read Scaffolding a while ago and haven’t had a single person to discuss it with, so I’m posting here in hopes of finding someone who’s read it (or persuading someone to pick it up).✨

What made me pick this book was its exploration of the spaces and places we live in, the idea that they were once inhabited by other people, with history and emotions attached to them, creating repeating patterns or shared experiences unknown to us.

Although infidelity is a recurring theme in this book, it doesn't justify it. It explores how everyone has a past and we kind of carry some pieces of other people we’ve been with in us. I don’t completely relate to that part, but that’s what a book is supposed to do, make you ponder and make you aware of things about yourself that you didn’t know earlier.

Would love to hear what anyone else thought of it!

Title: [Non-Eco Background] How to learn Economics from scratch before B-school? Need books & channel recommendations

my_qualifications: B.Des

Hi everyone,
I am aspiring to join a B-school next year and need to build a basic foundation in Economics (I have no prior eco background except up to 10th standard).

Looking for recommendations on:

Best starting point: Core Micro/Macro concepts to cover first.

YouTube Channels: Good channels/playlists for beginners (Indian or global).

Books: Beginner-friendly textbooks or light reads (e.g., Mankiw, NCERTs, Freakonomics)

Would love advice from MBA students or alumni who made the transition from a non-eco background!

Cutting off people and losing friends

I’ve cut off a lot of people who used to be my friends!
I had reasons and I feel good about my decision and I’m kinda proud of myself as it was impossible for me to cut friends off earlier…
But I’m beginning to think if it’s normal!? It’s become so easy for me to let go of people, but I feel too sometimes! Feels like I’ve developed some kind of defence mechanism to protect myself

[25/F] Looking for penpals to share thoughts, exchange art, discuss books, and navigate the quarter-life crisis

Hi, I’m a fashion enthusiast and love to read books. I have multiple hobbies and interests including journaling, macrame, painting, and history, and I am interested in learning about different cultures.

I'm 25 and hoping to find a pen pal to talk about this phase of life, when you start to worry about uncertainties, ambitions, and are still a little unsure of what you want from life.

I'd love to share thoughts and ideas, share new music, and exchange art, though you definitely don't have to be artistic! Whatever you're passionate about, I'd love to hear about it.

I’m really looking forward to exchanging thoughtful, long-form letters. Also, note that I’m strictly against using AI to write letters, it defeats the entire purpose…

If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out.

People who are sour about other people using diamonds

I get that the event was challenging and it’s not completely fair that some people had more diamonds or they used actual money to get more diamonds! I used a few diamonds myself. But the argument y’all are making is, it’s just a game it’s not that serious, why use diamonds!? But aren’t the options available for everyone!? People use diamonds for different things, some use it for decorations and some use it to speed up things when there’s not even a contest!
I understand the frustration but using diamonds isn’t cheating, it wasn’t an unfair advantage, people save their diamonds for different stuff and it’s their choice!

Need someone to talk to, things have been weighting on me for days

I’m 25 and I’m at home with my parents right now, and I’ve been worrying about a lot of things, I feel behind in life as I’m currently unemployed and preparing for competitive exams, worried about my parent’s relationship, it’s not bad but idk they don’t really have conversations, they talk and they don’t fight but idk…
It’s mostly that I feel that I’m wasting my potential and I feel stuck I’m also the elder daughter and I feel responsible for fixing everything.
I cut off almost all my friends this year (I had my reasons), I don’t have a partner and now even if I feel like talking to someone o really don’t have anyone and that’s kind of sad but I don’t miss anyone in particular.

I was SA’ed two years back, it was someone I liked and it was supposed to be our first date. I’ve been in therapy but whenever I’m sad it all comes back
After that I find it hard to trust people

But before this month I was able to stay optimistic and hopeful but now it feels like everything’s wrong and I don’t have the strength to fix anything
