Cadette Special Agent Badge Ink for Fingerprints

What is the best ink to use for getting fingerprints? This will be the third time I have tried getting good fingerprints, with a different group, of course) and the ink pads I have found are not the best. The prints don't come out clearly (or they are all spies who have removed their prints). Or, maybe I don't know how to teach them to put their prints on paper, Or maybe it's the paper we're using? Clearly, I'm not an expert, so I need some help.

Who knows a better way to do this than me?

Where can I find Grunge style clothing in plus sizes in Seattle for a teen?

Hi There!

Updated: here is a link to a Google file with the new grunge aesthetic: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14po0mM5LkdFOXxXXXyBv0T-LcZMoXJlA

My teen wants to buy clothing that is in the 2026 grunge style (not the 1990s grunge), and I am a lame mom who doesn't know where to shop for this stuff.

We need plus sizes. Regular teen sizes are too small.

Hot Topic 2025 had some pants that were fitted at the waist and flared out like JNCO pants but not JNCO prices and not skater, but grunge, but 2026 Hot Topic is hello kitty and "so bad."

I shop at the mall. I buy old lady clothes. I'm totally fine with my "old lady fits," they suit me. But, I have no idea where to go for these 2026 grunge looks. I could do 1990s grunge, because I lived it, but "it's not the same, Mom!"

I'm happy to drive toward alderwood or south center. My kid looked on the Ave with their friend, but didn't find much, so I'm wondering if the sizes were too small? I wasn't invited on this trip, so I don't know for sure that was the case.

Please help me help my kid!

I'm Searching for Fun and Interesting Room Entry Questions for 8th Graders

I write questions on a mini white board that my 8th grade students have to answer before they enter my classroom. This will be my third year doing this.

Year 1 I lasted 8 weeks. Year 2 I made it through 3 quarters ( my intern did one of the quarters to equal four for the students). In my effort to build stamina, I want to make it through the whole year this year.

Mostly the students like it or they warm up to it. Sometimes I have themes: would you be a superhero or a supervillain? What would your super power be? What is your kryptonite? What is your superhero/villain name? And that gets me through one week, cuz Monday is "What is one thing, besides sleep, that you did this weekend?" But even that gets boring.

I really struggle with making these questions fun and interesting, but low stakes and little thought. I have 5 minutes to get kids into the room. A question that flopped is "What is one hill you will die on?" They didn't know what that meant. They all loved "If you were a dinosaur what kind of dinosaur would you be?"

Last year was the first year in 20 years of teaching that I did not receive a parent email telling me that students were afraid to talk to me or that I was intimidating. I've been told my whole life that I'm scary and unapproachable, but I'm actually a kind person and I get along with just about everyone once people get to know me. I just treat the 8th graders like young adults, not like little kids, I don't put up with anyone's crap, I am a warm demander and it's an adjustment for them. But everyone has to answer the question and talk with me for five seconds everyday, now. The classroom culture was more collaborative as well, because they would talk about the question before the bell rang. It was a game changer for me.

I'm hoping I can compile a question bank to pull from on those days where my creativity is just lacking and also maybe get some more youth centered questions from younger teachers.

Do you have a question I could ask?

[US] My Locksmith Husband thinks he's being scammed by a "client."

Update: thanks for your time and expertise, everyone! I read him all your replies. He cancelled the job.

  • Jeff: question are you ai
  • Is Sergio your real name?
  • Sergio: hey ____ yes, Sergio____. Are you at the property?

Image 2

  • Sergio: sounds good brother. Did you call the resident?
  • Jeff: No. I'll call him during business hours
  • Sergio: please do and let me know once schedule.

Image 3

Jeff: I'm not really trusting this. Many red flags

Sergio: Brother, the resident will be there, and we're not going to run off with your money. You can have the payment once you're on site. Dealing with a lot of stuffs since I came in office and just got-]

Background Information

My husband, Jeff (not on reddit, not his real name) is a locksmith, and he wonders if this is a scam.

Sergio is from (deleted company name at the request of my husband) (real name and company).

Jeff has googled the company and gets (deleted identifying info at the request of my husband) and their Facebook page seems to be less than a month old.

Sergio keeps addressing Jeff as "brother" in the texts.

Sergio is also texting at odd times, never during business hours in our time zone.

They want to pay with CashApp.

Today, Jeff called the number and no one answered, but another man, who didn't give a name, called back and said that Sergio was new and didn't know how to do things the right way

The unnamed man also called Jeff, brother.

Jeff has expressed his concerns and the client continues to reassure him it's okay, he "just doesn't know how property managers work" which is false. Jeff works with many property managers.

During the call, Jeff received another call from "$Sergio (2)" which is what popped up on his phone, and the unnamed man said Sergio would call right when that happened.

Jeff did not take that call, because he was taking to the unnamed man.

Jeff has one number for Sergio in his phone. He doesn't know why it came up as "$Sergio 2." All of his clients are saved with a $ before their name.

Any help reddit strangers can give is appreciated. Before I had a Reddit account I was a lurker, and this sub saved Jeff from getting scammed out of $13,000, because I recognized the scam from these posts and told him to hang up the phone.
