Hi folks on my sv08max i get thes artifacts befir and after the holes support or no support.
I am not quite sure what to call it and what to google for.
To be clear the sides of the holes bulge a bit outward

Ignore the z banding i think its just the cheap filament im using( funstional part not cosmetic)
Thought it was my bed leveling issue but seems like something else. Was on Sovol Klipper, try DEKU now on Kalico with DEKU. Try eddy NG then the mainline eddy, same, no improvement at all. Thanks.
Heya, got the Sv08Max and i am doing a bit of work on it.
I've had a Blob of Death which damaged some stuff, sucks but it is what it is.
I am trying to find the connectors used for the Heater, Thermistor and Fan without buying replacement parts. My Photo skills suck i know.
Recently got an SV08 Max. Put it all together today, turned it on, and started the calibration process to get everything sorted and ready for printing. When the bed was heating up, white smoke started coming up from underneath the bed plate. I quickly shut it down, let it cool, and checked the PSU and motherboard — no burn marks or any obvious issues. Turned it back on and there was no problem this time. Printed a benchy with no smoke or anything else.
Is there anything I should check to figure out what might have caused it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What are the advantages of upgrading to the 64gb EMMC, and what does upgrading to klipper software do? Does it print better with klipper? And should I buy the hdmi screen from Sovol or is there another screen that’s better?
Newly bought Sovol sv08 Max printer has passed the calibration test, however, the chamber heater could not be run. After updated the printer.cfg with allowing the chamber heater module running and restart the firmware, then a message popped up ‘mcu hot_mcu’: Unable to connect Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the FIRMWARE_RESTART command to reset the firmware, reload the config, and restart the host software. I have tried to clicked the Restart firmware button few times but not success. Can somebody help?
Hi just had the ribbon cable get a bit loose while starting a print.
The black latch broke as well.
However my qeustion os how to secure the ribbon cable in that connector in a way that is removable if needed?
Hot glue i fear it may screw me over if i have to remove it.
Anyone know what is wise to do?

Has anyone bypassed the stock PTFE tube on the SV08 Max to feed filament straight into the extruder, and is it actually worth doing or does it just cause issues with filament snagging during fast prints?
Even bigger parts look small on the MAX.
Hi all, recently purchased an SV08 max simply due to the build size it offers, however I have been unable to get any good decently sized prints out of it - and I have no idea what else to try.
I’m currently using PLA with a nozzle temp of between 210 and 230 degrees, and the machine speed factory set to between 40-50% to slow it down - however I am still getting poor print quality. I’ve had multiple cheaper Creality printers and none of which were this hard to set up or produced prints this bad.
Do you have any suggestions that I can try?
There are a few subtle typos, enablE vs enableD, that exist on at least the SV08, the Zero, and the SV08 Max. EDIT: and the SV06 ACE. They fail silently, and result in oozy nozzles, and missing filament runout behavior. Nuisances, but widespread sneaky ones, so I want to get the word out.

I’ve never once printer TPU. Is there anything specific I should know before printing it from my SV08 Max? Thanks.
I’m trying to figure out what’s causing these repeating horizontal lines/bands across my prints. They seem to run across the entire model at the same Z heights.
So far I’ve already:
Dried the filament
Calibrated E-steps
Calibrated flow
Calibrated Z-offset
Cleaned/checked the nozzle
Current settings:
Outer wall speed: 100 mm/s
Outer wall acceleration: 5000 mm/s²
Other speeds are already reduced compared to the official/default profile
The print itself looks good otherwise, but these lines make the surface look rough/uneven.
Could this be Z wobble/banding, or is there something else I should check? belts? screws? extruder? maybe even speed
Print was going well until it wasn't. Need help to figure out what is going on. Logs and video linked as a zipped file.
This is my setup for my sv08 max, you can see see tucked away to the right is a small filament dry box at the minute. However I’d like to setup a dry box I’ll get big enough for 5kg spools and print from that. I want to put this box on the shelf I have above the printer. So I’m wondering if anyone’s done anything similar. I want to keep the auxiliary feeder as I have no problems with it as well as using 5kg spool I feel it’s necessary. So I somehow need to mount the aux feeder the other way round facing down and also in a suitable place for it to reach a dry box on the shelf above it.
Does anyone know of anyone or seen and design of something to do this? Mainly it’s just about mounting the aux feeder some where different.

I’m having this weird issue on my Sovol SV08 Max where the outer walls print perfectly clean, but the infill/internal lines are breaking up and becoming disconnected, as shown in the photo.
I don’t think I’m pushing the printer too hard. My max volumetric speed is only 12 mm³/s, my print speeds are relatively low, and I’ve already calibrated the filament/flow and the printer.
The strange part is that the walls look great while the infill has these intermittent sections where it seems like extrusion just stops or becomes very weak.
Could this be a partial clog, extruder/feeding issue, retraction issue, or something else? Has anyone experienced this on the SV08 Max?
I am new to large format 3d printing, i just got my printer and calibrated everything and did bunch of small test prints before running this print.
