No Drums on “She’s A Woman”?
Gave this a good listen on my upgraded sound system, and I’ll be damned if there’s no drums on this track. Am I crazy?

I’ve heard this on YouTube, but wondering if there is a cleaned up bootleg? Calling Peter Jackson!!
I am a Buckeye so I feel like I can say this. So many of our fans I cannot stand. Because we did not sweep the Pistons, we hated our Cavs like poison and they were the worst team ever. Now that we have a 3-2 edge and momentum going back home, we’re already punching our ticket for another trophy and they are better than the 2016 squad. LMFAO
Just noticed Apple Music gutted the Beatles album section, leaving just the original mixes up to Rubber Soul, and the Giles Martin mixes only thereafter.
There used to be multiple versions of Pepper, White Album, LIB (although curiously they added LIB Naked.)
Curious if anyone has tried following Mike’s recipe for home-brewed beer as printed in the liner notes of Tantamount to Treason!
For home-brewers… is this recipe complete nonsense or is it actually viable?
Photo for reference…
This lists for $18-$60 on Discogs, so I get that. None of them mention this marketing insert for Compleat Beatles. I doubt it adds any value, but at least some of you can nerd out over it like I did.
(Note the original shrink wrap with original price label!)
It’s not said enough how fantastic this album SOUNDS (set aside the music for a second). The production, recording, engineering really shines on a decent sound system. John/Yoko/Jack deserve much more credit for their work here.
As for the music… if you thought I was going to bash it, sorry. Re-listening to this, the songwriting is great, John’s voice sounds strong, and his guitar chops are back. He and Yoko assembled a world class backing band (their heads MUCH clearer than when they chose the dreadful Elephant’s Memory.)
Yoko is right there among the first new wavers, and produced several bangers on this disc.
If you haven’t listened in a while, take her for a spin! ✌️🫶🤟
Check out the rhythm guitar on Wings “Love Is Strange”… this could well have inspired Becker’s part on Hey Nineteen!
After years of music serving as almost background ambience, I find myself spinning an album and having a near-religious experience 😂.
I now have not only the time to listen with the active engagement of my youth, but also a rig respectful enough to deliver. Decades of being on the treadmill of suboptimal mass-market listening devices must have wrecked my ears; not physically, but acoustically, for lack of a better word. My ears had been trained to adapt to SO much compression, lo-fi tech, etc. that my ears went into total sensory overload listening to true hi-fi with proper speakers, positioning, etc. I did not know where to focus my ears because so many new sounds were revealed. I was ready to chuck all my gear because listening to music was almost giving me anxiety.
I had to re-train my ears and brain to really HEAR music. Years of listening to shit speakers/buds kinda turned everything into mono. Now having separation, clarity, soundstage… I feel how the first people in history that heard stereo must have felt.
I now focus on the lead instrument, whether it be voice, guitar, piano, etc. First time doing this, and everything behind the lead instrument just sprang to life. The lead instrument is your guide, drawing your focus so all the accompanying instruments can fill in the blanks, kinda like how peripheral vision fills in the margins to give you the broadest field.
This all hit like an epiphany for whatever reason as I was listening tonight.
But I now can say I GET IT the way people obsess over format, gear, setup. I feel like I’m in the club now!

This all hit like an epiphany for whatever reason when “Not Dark Yet” was playing, and made the whole thing extra emotional, as that is a big favorite.
But I now can say I GET IT the way people obsess over format, gear, setup. I feel like I’m in the club now!
Forgive my rambling… happy listening!
Price seems too good to be true, but over 500 sold with 4+ star reviews.
Anyone have experience with this cleaner?
Thank you!
I just learned that Miles Davis married his first wife in Toledo in 1959.
No research informs me why he chose Toledo, other than that he played a gig in Detroit a couple of days prior, so Toledo was close by.
Anyone know the details? Was Miles friends with Cliff Murphy?
Thank you!
Apart from being very dusty on opening, really pleased with the packaging. 2-sided printing on cover (first time seeing that!), poster, poster-size lyric sheet, 2-sided printing on extra dust jacket (comes housed in a plain white one).
Musically, this is the first FF release that’s excited me in about 20 years. They’ve embraced the arena-rock/dad-rock image FAR too long. They sound fresh and loose instead of processed and perfect. Give it a spin!
Find another documented instance where all four series in a conference bracket have started 3-2 in all four games…
I stream Tidal on my laptop, which is lined in to my Onkyo A9010.
How much of an upgrade would a WiiM be in terms of quality/fidelity? Not concerned about convenience or hardware/software features.
Thank you!
A Kinks obsession strikes me; I flameout. Eleven years later; strikes again and here comes yet another day…
Forgive me a tired question… why were The Kinks not bigger in the US?
Thank you!
Was this a piss-take? Love this tune, it is Who-ier than anything The Who was actually doing at that time!
Two questions…
I’ve always wanted to see the sweatshirt with “all the patents(?) on it”… anyone know what Davy is referring to? (At 3:04 mark)
Second, are there more of these interviews in the vault? They were my favorite parts of the show!
EDIT: I am aware there were several of these interview segments during the two year run and are available on DVD/Youtube. My question is, are there any unreleased segments that never aired?
