Hi everyone,
I recently ordered a tablet on Flipkart using an SBI Credit Card No-Cost EMI option.
During checkout, the order summary breakdown showed:
Listing Price / Special Price: ~₹62,499
Bank & Instant Discounts: Down to ₹42,192
However, when the OTP SMS arrived from SBI Card to complete the transaction, the text stated:
"OTP for Trxn. of INR 50000.00 at SLPE INFOT with your credit card ending XXXX..."
Seeing ₹50,000 on the OTP SMS made me nervous initially, but I proceeded, and the final Flipkart order confirmation screen shows the final billed amount as ₹42,192.
Questions for the community:
Is it normal for SBI Card (or other banks) to trigger the initial OTP authorization for the pre-discount / base amount (~₹50,000) just to hold/verify credit limit before converting it to EMI?
How many working days does it usually take in the SBI Card app for the unbilled/pending transaction to convert into the actual ₹42k principal EMI plan?
Does the blocked credit limit get automatically released once the merchant EMI is booked?
Appreciate any insights from anyone who has gone through this on Flipkart recently!

1.Xiaomi 8 pro 12gb ram and 256 gb storage with pen -36k
Which is best and I'm also concerned about the Battery and writting experience?
I'm planning to buy a tablet and have shortlisted these options with the prices I can get:
Moto Pad 60 Pro – ₹28,000
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite – ₹33,000
Xiaomi Pad 8 + Stylus – ₹42,000
Moto Pad 70 Pro – ₹41,000
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE – ₹38,200 (with credit card)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ – ₹37,200 (with credit card)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 – ₹42,000 (with credit card)
My priorities (in order):
Best writing/note-taking experience with stylus
Smooth multitasking (split screen, multiple apps)
Long-term performance (3–5 years)
Good display for Netflix/YouTube/PDF reading
Software updates and overall user experience
Good value for money
I don't play heavy games. This will mainly be for studying, note-taking, reading PDFs, media consumption, and productivity.
If you were spending your own money, which one would you choose and why?
Now a days the prices are increasing and available is reduced so on...
