We recently completed a custom endoscope prototype for a veterinary application.
After around six months of development, we delivered a functional prototype used to market for OEM/private-label brand.
It was a multidisciplinary project involving:
• Endoscope bending section development (laser-cut components)
• Handle design and injection moulding
• Display enclosure design and prototype finishing
• PCB design and manufacturing
• Embedded firmware
• Mechanical design and rapid prototyping
• System integration and testing
I’m based in Australia and work closely with an experienced engineering and manufacturing team in Shenzhen. One thing this project reinforced is how quickly hardware products can move from concept to prototype when you have direct access to Shenzhen’s supply chain, factories, and engineering resources.
If you’re building a new hardware product—whether you’re an e-commerce brand expanding into your own products, a startup, or an inventor—I’d be happy to answer questions or discuss how to turn an idea into a working prototype.
I’ve attached a few photos from the project. Happy to answer any questions in the comments or via DM.
