In the end of 2022, only 13 of the girls who would end up in Dream Academy were in T&D (based on this post), and HxG signed a brand deal for one of them, with the group they knew wouldn't debut for more than a year? No wonder they were pushing her so hard (I say as a Megan bias in Katseye)
