Best Customer Service and Support for a phone plan

I’m in Austin, and I currently use AT&T for about 15 phones for my business. I really, really like the convenience of walking into a store and getting immediate help. My phone plan is out of control price wise, and I’ve found that when I walk into an AT&T store with a business account, they just literally tell me to a call a number. I usually make them call, because I’m in the store after already calling that number and getting no help. The customer service/support on the phone is all outsourced overseas nonsense that never help or solve my problems. The employees have literally told me they are all sales people, and so are most of the people on the phone. Once you have a plan, they don’t care about aftercare. My phone plan is also extremely expensive ($600/mo). Who should I switch to, prioritizing in person customer service and support, and good cell phone service in the Austin, TX area? I would really like input with personal experience in my area. I am not paying anything off (I buy the phones outright and refurbished from another business).

Apps to help book reservations/experiences the week of Thanksgiving

Sorry if I’m stepping into something here, I’m not culturally aware of Disney/Universal things and there seems to be a lot of rules. I have watched as many informative TikTok’s as I can stand, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to book character dining and Bippity Boppity so that it’s easy for me. This is all very complicated, but basically it appears waking up at midnight 60 days prior and basically praying is the only way to get Bippity for my three kids during Thanksgiving week in the same day (twin girls and a boy)? As well as Kona reservations for character breakfast one day and dinner? Round up character lunch. I also want to try cinderellas royal table because I’ve promised my son since he could talk that I’d take him to the Disney castle not realizing there’s nothing actually in the castle that we can get except for that.

I was hoping to do a 220 dinner and Olga’s cantina with my wife one night and getting a nanny for a night out, but I’m thinking that’s a pipe dream. If I have to get all these reservations at once and they sell out immediately I’m just going to prioritize the kids stuff.

Long story short I saw some videos about apps that get your reservations for you. I’m about to just do something like that as this is more planning than I really anticipated. Anyone here done that, any stories good or bad? Best apps to use? Disney going to get me in trouble for it?

I’m staying club at Poly, park hoppers for 4 days, doing premier passes because the lightning lane thing seems crazy (I hope, going to book those 7 days in advance, not sure if those sell out during Thanksgiving week). Kids are 4, 4, and 7. Price is no issue. We’re also doing Universal for a couple days that week staying at Royal Pacific, but I’ll probably find a Universal sub for my Universal Qs.

Restaurants/cafes with the best customer service in theAustin area

I’m really over the bad service in Austin. I’m also a pretty chill customer who always tips 20%, even when I don’t love the service, and I still get bad service more consistently than good service. What are some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, food trucks, hell, even bars that sell food, with the very best customer service. I don’t mean good service to you because you’re a regular or have a connection, but just always a pleasant experience, every time, no matter what or who or when. Places that clearly train for and have an emphasis on customer service. In my opinion, going out is not financially worth it, and most food and beverages are just mediocre these days. What matters to me most is the service. I’m going to get gouged wherever I go, I want the person gouging me to at least be extremely pleasant and competent. I like all kinds of foods and have no limitations, allergies, or price concerns. I prefer places north, central, or northwest, but I’m honestly all over town for work so location can be generally the Austin area.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Well on Target Life Time Fitness

Anyone using the Well on Target benefit with blue cross blue shield to access multiple gyms?

It seems pretty incredible. Unlimited gym visits to all classic gyms (anytime fitness, fitness connection, crunch, golds, planet fitness) for the price of just one gym membership? Sometimes even less than one membership? Is there a catch to this? Do gyms give you a hard time?

Then, when you look at the luxury level membership:

It includes all of the above, plus:

There’s a $19 enrollment fee one time, then $159/mo (plus tax) total, for the pro level. This includes the life time fitness near me.

  1. I’m curious, if anyone knows, do these gyms, especially life time fitness, limit your access to anything or are you treated like any other member? Normally just this gym alone would cost $200 one time enrollment fee plus $300+/month, plus contracts.

  2. Has anyone added family members, and is there a benefit to that financially? I will check but I think life time offers a cheaper plan once you start adding family members, but I could be wrong.

  3. Any catches anyone has encountered using this benefit?

Any info from members who actually use this benefit would be helpful.

Work Friend Mystery

This is really long, lol, so bear with me.

I’ve worked with another lesbian for years, we got along, but I definitely kept her at a distance. We’re both married, and I’ve just come out of a very long ‘protecting my peace’ phase which included not going out of my way to befriend new lesbians, especially ones who I work with basically daily.

She used to semi-regularly invite me to lunch or happy hour when we’d end a meeting or when chatting on slack. I only took her up on it one time, and I ended up inviting a couple of other coworkers so it wasn’t just us. After that, her invites were less frequent, but I still always declined or just got out of it somehow. In retrospect, I feel bad, because I think she just wanted to be friends with the other lesbian in the office, and I never gave her the time of day. However, in passing, I heard something that changed my perspective entirely.

I found out maybe three months ago now that she had accepted a position in another department. Not the end of the world, but with this move, we would literally never see each other unless by random happenstance in the parking garage or something. I also didn’t hear it from her, I heard it from a coworker. I felt unexpectedly sad about this, because I always thought eventually we’d be friends, and I’d get around to taking her up on her hangout offers when I got over myself.

I slacked her that I wanted to take her to lunch as a congratulations. I also had the ulterior motive of wanting to apologize to her for not being the friendliest or taking her up on her offers, and that I appreciated that she never gave up on me. I had decided, after years, that I wanted to be friends now that we weren’t working together in the same department. I’m very annoying, I know.

So, I took her to lunch because of course she agreed immediately and followed through, unlike me. We ended up having an awesome lunch and talked forever about everything. I realized that I was a total idiot this whole time for not seeing this potential sapphic bestie, and letting literal years of potential friendship go to waste. Buuut, here’s where it starts getting weird.

I’m like ready to be her friend. I’m ready to introduce the wives, double date, take it out of the work place hours and into real life. And she is….clearly not. Since our lunch a few months back, she either comes to my building or I go to hers, and maybe once a week or once every two weeks, we do a happy hour or a lunch, just depending. Just us, and we have an amazing time and the conversation is never ending. But she won’t text me back. She won’t call me or answer my calls. I’m a caller. I’m a texter. I’m a chit chatter. I’ve got group chats, I’ve got one on ones, I’m chit chatting all day. Hell, I’m chatting here with you guys now. I cannot get this woman to speak to me outside of work hours or “happy hour” hours. I sadly gave up on texting her because I felt like a loser sending text after text and getting nothing back. But then she’d show up at my office door, asking me to lunch, consistently. So, I confronted her about this at a recent happy hour.

She told me she’s just bad at texting, and everyone complains about how bad she is at it. I told her she needs to get better at it with me. She agreed she would, but I basically stopped any major texting efforts after that, because it just felt so one sided, and I didn’t want to guilt someone into texting me or answering my calls. But like clockwork she shows up, in person, to ask me to hang while we’re working or right after. So, I suddenly started thinking, what if there is a reason she won’t talk to me outside of work? What if she’s hiding me?

Maybe she won’t text me, or call me, or hang out outside of work because her wife doesn’t know about me!? She can’t just be texting or calling a lesbian her wife doesn’t know about after work hours. If she’s hiding me from her wife, does that mean maybe she has feelings for me? Or does it just mean maybe she has a jealous wife? Is it weird that I’ve hung out with her so much one on one under these circumstances? I feel like it would be CRAZY for me to ask her point blank if she’s hiding me from her wife. Is it more possible that she just has me compartmentalized as a work friend, and she doesn’t want me in the rest of her life? Is it me now that’s being rejected as an actual friend? I know we have a ton of fun together and laugh and never run out of things to talk about, so it can’t be that. I know she’s my actual friend. I’m just so confused about her behavior in terms of isolating me, refusing to text me, never calling me, and only interacting with me purely in person.

I don’t want to ruin a potentially great friendship with my paranoia from previous sapphic friendships, but I’m also starting to feel like a weird work secret at this point. At the same time, I don’t want to scare her off by directly confronting her with my weird conspiracy theories, because I truly value her friendship at this point and I want her in my life more, not less. I get the sense she doesn’t want me to push her on this. And I’m trying to keep it chill. This feels strangely delicate, like if I make the wrong move I’ll lose the little friendship that I have with her entirely.

What do you guys make of this?
