"Student" glockenspiel questions.

Is it worth "upgrading" the suspension from felt only to cord on a "Student" bell set?

-

Getting a used "Student" bell set (Musser M650).

It will need a little refurbishment, some of the isolators are worn out so will likely replace them all as this is a set of unknown vintage.

Not sure of the felt condition, but since we are going to be taking the bars off we have the opportunity to upgrade the suspension if it's a good idea.

Kit will be at home only, our JR high student will use a set at school.

What did I do?!

I'm used to him pressing his balls to the wall, but this is just downright rude!

(Sorry for the blurry pic!)

What did I just watch?!

Our tween is a big fan and got us to watch. Finished it in a couple evenings.

I'm (pleasantly) blown away!

I did not expect such a deep, emotional, and thought provoking show!

I think I need to watch it again as we have different theories as to what it all was even though we all watched the same thing!

WOW!

I think I'm ready!

Wish me luck!

Don't think I've ever seen a queen before.

More likely I just never knew what I was looking at.

That was fast.

TL/DR Went from deciding a crestie was for us to owning one in about 8 hours!

Meet "Charizard" (named by our 11YO).

Enclosure is 90 gal established bioactive paludarium.

Set it up a while ago (2 years+) with Emeral Tree Skinks in mind but wasn't 100% set on that. It's just been a "terrarium" until last night.

Doing more research on Reptifiles finally decided a Crested Gecko was a perfect fit for us and the enclosure. Spent a while looking on MorphMarket and decided on a whim to check Craigslist. Found someone rehoming their cresties, picked him up right after work.

This morning went "looking" for him, figured he was hiding somewhere. Couldn't find him for a bit and then realized he was inches from my face!

I just heard from home that he's still in the same area, apparently likes that spot!

Thanks for the great sub. The wiki has been super helpful!

Fender Precision Lyte

Opinions on the P Lyte? Just ran across one for the first time.

-

Got a buddy who's getting rid of one. I'm helping him unload it as he's not on the net much.

Never heard of them but after digging around I found it's a MIJ "Fender Contemporary Precision Lyte" from about the mid 90's .

I read on talk Bass that the body's a bit smaller and lighter so it's kinda like a Bronco but full scale?

It's giving me GAS for one, his is red with matching headstock which is beautiful.
