Etsy business

I was wondering if it’s actually possible to make a living from selling on Etsy using POD? I’ve had my Etsy account for a few years now as a side hustle and have just reached 100+ sales. I currently have around 70 listings, but I’m wondering whether it’s worth putting more time and effort into it and trying to grow it into something more substantial.

For those of you who sell on Etsy, do you think it’s realistic to make a full-time income from it, and if so, what would you recommend focusing on to get there?

Google vs Meta ads

I was wondering from experience what are the key similarities and differences with Google and meta ads, and what are recent user behaviour trends you have found that impact performance and budget management?

6 days in Cyprus - what is worth visiting?

Hi! I’m planning a 6-day trip to Cyprus, flying into Larnaca and out of Paphos (or vice versa) and would love some advice on what’s genuinely worth seeing.

My priorities are:

• Beautiful beaches

• Seeing turtles

• Snorkelling

• A boat trip

• An interesting archaeological site

• A couple of scenic hikes/waterfalls

• Beautiful scenery/nature

These are the places I’ve found so far:

Paphos / Akamas:

* Blue Lagoon / Fontana Amorosa

* Akamas National Forest Park

* Goat Cave

* Kremiotis Waterfall

* Lara Beach

* Avakas Gorge

* White River Beach

* White Rocks

* Adonis Baths

* Tombs of the Kings

* House of Dionysus

Troodos / Central:

* Petra tou Romiou

* Troodos Mountains

* Caledonia Waterfall

* Milomeris Waterfall

* Pano Lefkara

Ayia Napa / Cape Greco:

* Cape Greco

* Konnos Beach

* Turtle Beach

* Malama Beach

* Ayfilon Beach

* Golden Beach viewpoint

Obviously, I won’t be able to do everything in 6 days, so what would you prioritise, what isn’t worth it, and what have I missed?

Thanks! 😊

Gelato help

I’ve used gelato for a few years now and I feel like they aren’t transparent on the pricing structure - I usually tick shipping fees included and make sure where they show the fees I would get at least £10 profit from each product, but I just made a sale from Etsy and Gelato have charged me £18 more than what I sold the product for?? I’m not sure how to rectify this moving forward because I don’t think they are honest with the pricing from their side

Faceless ugc content

I am building my TikTok right now to be more dreamer aesthetic of nostalgic music in beautiful places I’ve visited as a usp, sometimes I am in the videos but never speaking, it’s usually landscapes - I am being advertised more the idea of faceless ugc, do you think it is possible when I grow more to consider this with my type of content?

For instance I hear tech ugc is great to get into, I’m wondering if I could with eg travel apps, would be great to hear some advice or opinions :)

Looking for honest feedback on a TikTok niche I’m trying to build

I’m trying to take my TikTok a little more seriously and would really love some honest feedback from people who enjoy this kind of content.

I’m also hoping to eventually connect it with my Etsy store, which is more music-focused; basically a collection of music I genuinely love and want to share. At the moment, my TikTok is kind of bringing those two worlds together, and I feel like I’m finally starting to figure out what my niche might actually be.

The direction I’m naturally gravitating towards is escapism and nostalgia, so beautiful landscapes and places from my travels, paired with nostalgic/atmospheric music, with a few lines of writing or thoughts over the top. Sometimes they’re relatable, sometimes a little reflective, sometimes just something that fits the feeling of the place or song.

I’m really drawn to the idea of creating something that makes people stop scrolling for a moment and feel like they’ve escaped somewhere, even if it’s only for 15 seconds.

I’m curious whether this sounds like a concept that could genuinely work, or whether it’s too broad / already oversaturated. I’d especially love feedback from anyone who creates content, has grown a TikTok, or just watches this kind of content themselves.

I’d genuinely appreciate any constructive feedback, even if you think there are things I should change! My account is sonhostyle :)

Travel to Cyprus - campervan

I would love to visit Cyprus for 5-7 days for my birthday in late September, and was wondering how feasible it is to go about in a campervan around the country?

TikTok advice

I started taking my TikTok account more serious, and am posting posts related to travel and music that gives you a dreamy kind of feeling. So far I had one video go quite viral, but still have videos that maybe get 300/400 views, I am using high quality photos and videos and some posts with what is trending, would really appreciate someone reviewing my account to give advice on how I can grow! My next short time goal is to reach 1000 followers!

Using Pinterest to Promote Business

I launched my own Etsy store which has a mixture of music inspired posters and apparel and a few premium travel posters, and have also created a TikTok which I want to use to eventually promote this, but right now my usp is posts related to the dreamy mood or feeling felt about travel accompanied with music.

I also have a Pinterest which right now I am posting some of my travel photos and created a few music collages linking my store and products, but is there other ways you can use Pinterest to promote a site like this?

Also beyond having your own business can you make money off Pinterest like other social media apps?

TikTok content/ niche help

I am looking to use my TikTok to increase awareness and reach of my Etsy store, based on music apparel but I am also extending to some premium travel photos. Right now I want to create content that fuses music and travel, but I am finding it hard to find a good niche! Attached is an example of the content I make, so far I have a few videos with good engagement but I would really love some advice on the type of content I should be making, how many posts I should do a day etc. 🥰

Honest opinion on TikTok

I am looking to grow my TikTok so that I can eventually use it to help promote my Etsy, plus I just really enjoy posting! Right now however I am trying to find a niche that covers travel and music and am finding it hard!

My user name is sonhostyle, would so appreciate any constructive criticism, or content that help me to build a brand, because right now I think I am being way too broad.

Etsy pricing strategy advice

I started my Etsy a few years ago but I am now at a period where I want to see if I can make it my main source of income! I started making new products last week, and had my first sale of £80 which was my artwork in a wooden frame - I use a pod service called Gelato for the prints. Firstly, Gelato itself charged me £51.41 which seems like more than I remember the service saying it would charge, then I gave the user a 10% discount since I am starting again, but on top of this Etsy charged me nearly £10 in additional fees, and since I am starting my business again with new products I have a lot of listing fees and ended up basically making a £3 profit from this product. Just looking for some advice on pricing or anything else on the Etsy platform which helps to cut cost a little?
