How do you know when you’ve found “the dress?”
Tried on dresses for the second time today and have like 7 that I love. How do I know which one to choose?!?!?

Looking to explore some hidden gems in the area :) Willing to drive around 2 hours from A2 though I’d love to hear suggestions for weekend trips too! Canada included :) We just moved here and my partner is in a rigorous advanced degree program which is leaving me with time to take myself on adventures!! I’ve been to most of the surrounding Washtenaw towns, so somewhere even more hidden is what I’m looking for. I love cute downtowns, interesting history, and good nature!! <3
My fiancé just started medical school and I start a new job as a teacher next week. I’m wondering if anyone has any lifesavers they want to share — for example, what got me thinking about this was the fact that I made a crockpot chili for dinner so neither of us had to worry too much about cooking.
What other life upgrades do you recommend? Willing to spend some $$ but we ain’t rich yet :P
PS once someone gets the city I gotta give this rec!!
Hi everyone!! I am planning an August 2027 wedding, and my fiancé and I both love brunch so we thought it would be SO fun to do a cottage-y whimsical brunch (really like 1 or 2 PM lol) receptions. For a few personal reasons, my fiancé really wants a dry wedding - he doesn’t drink and his family pressures him at family events, which he doesn’t want to deal with on his wedding day. I would have loved a mimosa situation or something, but it’s not a hill I’m willing to die on. My family also really doesn’t drink, but I do think my friends would expect alc. Anywho, I want to come up with some fun, interactive ideas for guests to still make it feel like a party (and also seem like we’re not cheaping out on things lol). Here are some ideas we are planning on so far:
- speciality juices at each table
- signature mocktails at the bar
- different fun float combos (classic root beer and sprite w/ sorbets)
- adding on live pancake/topping station along with huge buffet
- coffee cart when guests enter or for cocktail hour
- croquet and other cutesy yard games
- I want some sort of DIY craft activity option like water coloring but idk bout that??
- we are also leaning towards a live band and have a few plants to bring people to the dance floor😈
I just want some feedback on these things…obviously I know my guests better than you all but what do you think of these options? Any other ideas?
We also don’t really know what time to plan to wrap things up, but we are thinking about doing a boat cruise after the wedding with just immediate family and bride/groom parties. Thx!!
Looking to explore the food scene with my dairy free partner :) they don’t have to be totally DF, just have a good number of options!!
