Does anyone know what kind of monster this is?
I’ve been using this mini PC for several years now. It’s not particularly powerful, but it’s enough for me to play some relatively lightweight games, like Minecraft with some pretty decent modpacks, TF2, etc.
It has: Core i7-8550U
16 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM x1
And integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620.
At some point, I thought about installing my old SATA SSD in it, but I ran into a problem: it didn’t have the cable for powering SATA drives, even though there is a 2-pin connector labeled something like SATA_PWR1. It was either missing from the beginning or simply wasn’t included because I bought the mini PC second-hand. But that’s not really the point.
I decided to look up what motherboard it had so I could find the right power cable to buy online. However, the motherboard is identified as “Default string” both in the system information and in the BIOS, and there are no markings anywhere on the mini PC itself indicating what this Chinese warrior actually is.
Does anyone know what kind of mini PC this could be, and how I can figure out, without a multimeter, which cable I need for those two pins that provide SATA power?
My internet searches basically ended with me finding a mini PC with a similar case, but with a different configuration, on some Russian marketplace, if I remember correctly.
Sorry moderators, I don't know what tag to put.
