Does this chord progression feel too ‘all over the place’?

Hey all,

Been playing around with some chords progressions that are less typical for ukulele tunes. Pretty standard lyrics about the end of a relationship. I couldn’t figure out how to end it yet so I just bounced between the I and V and called it — I’ll figure something out.

I’ve seen couple ‘Blackbird’ progress videos on this sub. Thought I’d share how I strum it.

Paul does a clawhammer-esque pattern with his thumb and index finger, strumming with the nail of his index. I never found that to feel natural, so I do the same thing with my middle. Hopefully this is helpful to somebody. 👍

Does the intro feel too long and/or complicated compared to the rest of the song?

I’ve been tinkering with this for a while. Should I ditch the intro and just begin with the strumming? A song about Cold War espionage.

Reasonable cashier starting rate in Arkansas

Hello all,

I’m interviewing for a part time evenings/weekends cashier role. I do fine at my 8-5 remote job, I’m just looking for some extra cash with some evenings and weekend work. I was wondering if y’all had any insight in a reasonable rate to request in Arkansas. Home Depot came in at 16/hr, just curious if Kroger would come anywhere near that. Thanks for any helpful feedback.

‘Welcome to the Brand New Galaxy’. Been writing on my uke lately and came up with this. Threw on some pitch adjustment for fun. Feedback or encouragement appreciated!

A short Irish jig on mandolin. I’m not Irish, and I don’t *really* play the mandolin. Just something I learned a while back. ☘️
