Punjab Kings cricketer Shashank Singh faces FIR for 'holding hostage, assaulting' employee.

Cricketer and Punjab Kings player Shashank Singh is facing an FIR for alleged assault and verbal abuse of a staff member.

The complainant, a 'cook' named Vipendra Singh, was allegedly assaulted and verbally abused by Singh and his family members and a case has been registered against three individuals. The FIR mentions Singh and his father Shailesh Singh, a retired Special Director General of Police and one other person

No, we didn't hold him hostage... It is true that he arrived claiming to be a cook, but he wasn't a cook at all. He didn't know how to cook; he was just here to have fun, taking videos and photos, and even going into my room.

The FIR was registered at the Ratibad Police Station in Bhopal on Monday. Singh said due to his actions, they suspected that he had come with the intention of stealing but nothing was taken from their house. "His phone contained videos and photos of the house, so my mother had him delete them because they were very private...The police haven't approached us so far. When we caught him taking photos and videos, my sister suggested dialing 100. But he pleaded, and I let him go."

Singh said that the allegations against him are false. "Anyone who knows me, knows that this is completely out of the question for me. I hesitate even to use abusive language, so I certainly couldn't do something like that. I don't think I need to offer any justification regarding this."

"Based on the injury marks on the complainant, the police conducted a medical examination and an FIR was registered. The case is being investigated. We will take further action as evidence emerges," Additional Police Commissioner Shailendra Singh Chauhan said

Have India ended up replacing a Specialist Captain with another Specialist Captain ?

Have India ended up replacing a specialist captain with another specialist captain ? Shreyas Iyer has averaged 15.8 at a strike rate of 120 in his last 15 T20Is for India. In the last 7 series he has an average of 16.9. These are atrocious stats for someone who has come in after 4 years directly as captain for a world cup winning team. For context, Shubman Gill averaged 24.25 and SKY averaged 40.75 in their last 15 games before being dropped and losing their leadership roles in the squad.

An ever deeper look shows that if you take away one series against Sri Lanka in 2022, Iyer's career average drops from 29.23 to 24.02. That's a horrible average for someone who played all of his T20 cricket before India's selfless and fearless revolution in cricket, when averages used to be higher and strike rates lower.

WYR Cut one of your own limbs off or have a 5% chance of going into a vegetative state

Option 1: You take a Knife right now and either cut off one of your hands from the elbow or one of your legs from the knee.

Option 2: A 5% chance of you suddenly going into a vegetative state in a hospital room.

Edit: Just wanted to make an addition, if you do choose option 2, you are forced live like that for atleast 3 months before being allowed to pass away
