For those managing parents' medications from a distance — what's your current system?

My parents are back home and both are on multiple medications. I'm constantly anxious about whether they actually took their evening dose or skipped it because they forgot. Calling them every day works sometimes but honestly they just say "yes yes I took it" even when they haven't.

Do you call daily? Pill boxes? Alarms on their phone? Just hope for the best?

Would love to know what's actually working for people here. May God keep all our parents healthy.
