New to Radarr/Sonarr, issues with importing and Emby

I started work on my own media server a little bit ago with ripping blue rays and adding them to an Emby server hosted on my Synology Nas (installed via DSM, not docker). Everything worked well and all my movies and TV shows were automatically detected by Emby after I moved them to my media folder on my Nas.

I decided to install the Arr’s stack of Radarr, Sonarr and, Prowlarr to help take this to the next level. Got qBitTorrent running through a container with a VPN in Synology as well. I followed Dr. Frankenstein guides to setting up most of this as well as the Arr’s. My problems seem to start with the Arr’s unfortunately.

First was getting Radarr and Sonarr to detect my current media library. I moved my media folder over to the same shared folder that has my torrent folder to make sure hardlinking was enabled. Between the multiple different ways to add existing media to Radarr I had trouble getting it to import everything properly. I have set up qBitTorrent and Emby connections in both Radarr and Sonarr. Then I’m having trouble with the new files I download from torrents not automatically being detected by Radarr. Think this is a category problem from what I’m seeing? Even after I use the work around of manually adding the files and enabling the hard links, Emby won’t auto update and populate with the new media.

I’m partly just rambling now but I’m a little frustrated with getting this set up nicely. On top of all this now Emby won’t auto update even if I manually adding ripped media to my media folder. Have to do a manual scan to find it. May be a problem for a different t sub though.

If anyone could give me some tips and tricks in getting the flow between all these apps to work that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Which drive to get?

Going to keep this short cause we are all tired of hearing about HDD prices but just looking for opinions.

Currently have a DS923+ filled with 3 10tb Ironwolf Pros. Want to get 2 more drives so I can fill my final bay and also have a cold spare. NAS is used for normal backup stuff, photos, files and such. Just set up an Enby server and started ripping my movies/tv shows as well. Would also like to start looking into some torrenting.

I am currently looking at a set of Refurbished 16TB Ironwolf Pros from GoHardDrive with a 3 year warranty for $480. Other option in my eyes is a pair of new 12tb Normal Ironwolfs from Seagate for $430 each.

Which would you go with? Is there another drive out there I should be looking at? I checked out some Refurbished Exo’s but don’t know if I really want to deal with the downsides of enterprise drives, heat/noise, etc.

Best route to upgrade storage on D923+

I currently have a D923+ with 3 10TB Seagate Iron Wolf Pro drives in SHR giving me 18TB usable. I am looking into upgrading my storage capacity and am wondering what my best/most efficient path would be.

Since I have the one open drive bay I figured the easiest is just getting another 10tb drive to fill the slot but don’t know if I should be thinking about another drive to support future expansion. I was checking out the Synology raid calculator and was seeing that any bigger drive (14,20,24tb) would still net me the same usable storage space as adding the 10tb but then having varying degrees of “unused space” left. Im guessing the unused space is due to the mismatched drive sizes not playing well with each other.

What would you guys do in this situation? Buy another 10tb for easy of use and not having any unused space? By a bigger drive and deal with the unused space with the intent of upgrading another drive later to use that space? Something else entirely?

I know storage prices are just getting more dumb by the day so I’m not trying to go too dumb dumb expensive on new drive(s).

Case upgrade from Q58?

Getting the bug to upgrade the case in my living room PC. Currently specs are

CPU: AMD 5700x3d
GPU: ASUS 5070ti
Cooler: Lian Li Galahad II 240
Case Lian Li Q58
(Pics are from when it was first built with a different cooler and my old 980ti, apparently never took upgraded shots)

Feel like I’m starting to look for a unicorn case though. I want a case that could have slightly better thermals then the Q58 but not much bigger. Would like to be able to continue to use the 240 AIO but am open to switching over to Air cooling like the AXP90 X47 since it’s pretty cheap. I also want more of a horizontal foot print than a vertical one since this is going in my entertainment center.

Iv looked at the Terra, the A4-H20, the Meshroom S V2 but am having a tough time thinking any of them are “the one”.

The Terra is of course sick looking but iv though I read thermals can be rough in it and I would have to change the cooler. Also the most expensive.

The A4-H20 seems like a nice evolution from the Q58 but I’m objectively I’m not really sure the look of it is doing it for me.

The Meshroom S V2 looks to be great for cooling with all the ventilation and the compatibility with more parts but it being a vertical case kinda kills it for me. Looked to see if there was a way to lay it horizontally but have to do more research on it still.

What are the other cases I should be looking at? I’m sure there are some iv missed in my day of searching. Any other things to know about these cases either?

Thanks for any inputs on this.

MOD’s: Feel free to delete if needed. I was not able to find the linked weekly recommendations thread. Whenever I clicked the link it just took me to the /sffpc Reddit home page.

Best Looking Exhaust for 40th Anniversary

Been wanting to change out the the stock exhaust on the ZX4 for a minute now and am looking for opinions on what the best looking slip on is for the 40th anniversary color way is.

I’m not worried about power gain or anything really, just mainly want a little more sound. Also don’t want to be the loudest bike in the neighborhood either though. I feel like the Graves is one of the best looking ones to match the 40th but iv heard it’s one of the loudest and there is no DB killer option for it.

What other slip ons out there do you think look best of the 40th?

Was looking into finally throwing on a Kitaco Clutch Cover for my wife’s 2020 Grom but from what I’m seeing they seem to be sold out everywhere but like eBay resellers.

Does anyone know if just happens to be a lull in stock or did they stop making them for some reason? Is there anywhere else I should be looking at getting one?

We have a few sections of our driveway that are all cracked and turning into just a bunch of loose rocks. We tried to temporarily fixing it before winter with some cold patch but thinking we may have made it worse. We would like to replace those driveway at some point but it’s about 1900sq ft of concrete so it will be a minute before we can do that.

What can I do as someone who hasn’t really worked with concrete before to help stop this from getting worse until we are ready to replace it?
