Historically average hold for this setup is 1-2 days, will BTC shed 3k points or hit SL by Tuesday?

Price ripped from ~84k back up toward the 87k highs, but the push faded before it could take them out. Momentum rolled over and the short triggered at ~85,730.

Invalidation is above the highs at 87,035. If we close back up there, the rally was real and I'm wrong.

First target 84,430, full target 82,736. Risking ~1.3k to make ~2.9k, about 1:2.3. It's the 4H, so it needs a day or two to play out.

Will this setup on 6H work, AI took this position?

Short from around 84,320, invalidation at 85,537, first target 83,110, final target 80,085. That is 1:3.4 reward to risk, risking about 1,210 to make about 4,150.

AI drew this ZEC setup and even after such a rally I went long again

Long from an entry around 1,520, invalidation at 1,486, first target 1,550, full target 1,572. Call it 1.6R, risking about 33 to make about 52.

Asked AI to find me a profitable trade. It suggested four felonies for a DOGE pump.

With all the "AI is going rogue" headlines lately, models scheming in safety tests, agents doing things nobody asked for, this apparently decided the fastest path to alpha was hacking Elon and manipulating the market. The "we never speak of this again" step is what really got me.

Lesson: be very specific with these AI agents.

HYPE short by AI agent - Order block based on 1h

Though due to clarity bill and FOMC tommorow things are tricky but I never say no to order block based trades.

u/Mr_Hodlerr — 30 days ago

Even with clarity bill and FOMC coming up, I could not resist to take a long on ETH for this setup.

AI agent flagged the event risk but I still took it as I think liquidity sweeps is what market makers would want to do before the events hit.

Going with the algo for 6H, taking the BTC short

BTC pushed up and swept the highs around 80k, grabbing the stops sitting above resistance, then failed and snapped straight back below. That failed push is the liquidity sweep: the move up was there to grab liquidity, not real strength.

Short is the reclaim back under the swept level at ~79,170, invalidation just above the sweep at 80,190.

Backtested the classic order block setup on BTC across every timeframe (1H to 1D). Sharing the full table, drawdowns and all.

Ran the order block setup on BTC from 1H all the way to 1D. The win rate held in the 79 to 89% range on every timeframe, which honestly surprised me. But the interesting part is the tradeoffs, not the headline:

  • 1H: highest return but the worst drawdown (11%) and you're babysitting it (~10h holds).
  • 1D: lowest return but a tiny 2% drawdown and you barely touch it.
  • The 4H even got graded down despite a big return, because the edge per trade is thinner.

Big caveat: these are backtested numbers, not live or forward results, so take the return column with a large pinch of salt. I'm sharing the full table with the drawdowns included so you can judge it instead of just a cherry-picked stat. Anyone here actually trade order blocks on BTC, does this line up with what you see?

Shorting ZEC off a 1H breaker block.

Price ran the highs, flipped the level, so I'm playing it as a breaker retest. In short around 813, invalidation is a 1H close back above 838, first target 788 at prior demand. Just triggered, managing it 1:1 to start. Anyone else watching ZEC here?

Does the liquidity sweep then reaction zone setup actually hold up? I ran it on 4 coins. Here's the data and exactly how I defined a win.

What I tested
The pattern where price runs a prior swing low, grabs the stops sitting under it, and then instead of continuing down it reverses and pushes back up off the last down-candle before the move (the reaction zone). Entry on the return to that zone, stop below the sweep, fixed target. I wanted to know if the "sweep first, then react" sequence actually beats taking either signal on its own.

Results
Win rates landed around 85% across the four coins, on these counts:

  • BTC 1H: n = 54
  • SOL 1H: n = 49
  • ETH 1H: n = 33
  • ZEC 1H: n = 29

Expectancy came out to +0.72R to +1.46R per instance after fees. For comparison, on the same data the two pieces alone were weaker: the reaction zone by itself ~83%, the sweep by itself ~76%. The sequence is what lifted it.

What I'm concerned about

  • The samples are small (29 to 54 per coin).
  • It's one timeframe.

Where's the methodology broken? Would an out-of-sample split or walk-forward change your read? Does the small n make the high win rate meaningless, or is the expectancy the number that matters more?

Any brave guy longing this on BTC?

Source

So the Botsfolio AI says there is a setup for long after liquidty has been swept on 4H. THough looks scary and weekend is coming, do you think the trade is valid?

I wanted to make life changing money from crypto. Life changed because I’m broke.

A few years ago, I got into crypto thinking I could eventually make enough to change my life.

Technically, I succeeded.

Just not in the direction I had planned.

The frustrating part is that I don't think I was losing because I couldn't read a chart or find decent ideas.

A lot of the damage came from the same things over and over:

  • taking trades I hadn't planned
  • moving stops when I didn't want to be wrong
  • cutting winners because I was scared of giving profits back
  • changing my approach after a few losses
  • convincing myself the next trade would make it back

Looking back, I can see individual bad trades.

What I struggled to see was the pattern across all of them.

So recently I've been experimenting with putting my trade history and thoughts into an AI chat and asking it to call out the patterns I keep missing.

Mostly curious whether anyone else has used their own trading history to figure out how they're actually losing money.

For those of you who went through the “I know what I should do, but somehow keep doing something else” phase**,** what finally helped you break the pattern?
