In summary, I know there's a team running around using ARGUS as a system. I know that "system" existed before we got the ever so capable Copilot. With that, I'd assume ARGUS runs off of SOME sort of open source system.

How can I get an open source system authorized to be used?

Plenty of small projects, no state secret level work, there's always the IP consideration, but many of those models have the ability to work offline.

Who do I have to harass? What process do I use?

Looking at going to WOCS/131a route. From what I can find online/asking a few warrants, it can be done in one shot. With that, does anyone know how the guard proceeds with doing it as a PCS? Is it funding? Availability? On the individual? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Not offering anything personally. But just a small thing that I've seen around the interwebs. Go on the person who got cut, and write them a recommendation on LinkedIn. It's not much, but at least it will help them out. Let's be real, it could be one of us one day.

So, long and short, been with a sizeable company for a few years now. We regularly do layoffs. Somehow, despite effectively being useless to shareholder value (but maintaining federal standards/records, which honestly, any asshole could do) I've managed to NOT get cut. I can't find anything definitive online about it, but at this point in time, I have NO effing clue how I have a job. I know as a disabled vet, we get certain protections, but I'm at a loss. AFAIK, I'm the only drilling person in my current site.

Has anyone else gone through this? I would assume they don't want a potential PR nightmare.

I had all my teeth crowned about a month ago. I'm still sensitive to cold and extreme heat. Is this normal?

Looked on EmpowerU, can't seem to find an answer, but I'd assume the worst on this one. I'm currently a 3, looking at a 4 role in a different country. However, the pay range (at its max) is still a pretty hefty pay cut.

I would LOVE to believe that RTX will pay me more than what I'm currently making (in said countries currency)

But I would also expect Papa Ray to say "suck it nerd, deal with it"

This is a weird one. Had a friend get laid off. RTX wiped out her current ESP usage and effectively reset everything for a year post layoff.

With that, if I have a bunch of classes I have registered for and have vouchers for, but have not started, how is that factored in? Looking at the ESP system, it's "used, remaining and billed" (or something like that, not in front of my computer)

I'd ASSUME it's only classes that have been paid out, but I'm not 100% on it. Wasn't sure if anyone had any knowledge.

So my manager told me that RTX allows people who are taking bootcamps for an approved course from ESP- Do NOT have to use PTO. I thought that was only applicable to courses related to your current role. I can't find anything on EmpowerU, does anyone have any insight? (He's a new manager, not that I don't trust him, but I don't want to get burnt down the road when I do 15 of the things). Any references would be appreciated.

Made a pretty basic program that can help significantly. However, talking to a POC with IP today, he was saying that regardless if I made it on or off the clock, there's a high probability that RTX owns it. He did also recommend me getting legal counsel on it, so that's pretty cool. With that, has anyone had any success winning rights over something they created that doesn't use any technical or proprietary information?

Trying to start my own small business so I can supplement my income. Who do I reach out to within RTX to ensure I don't get screwed?

Just discovered this group.so weird situation happened a few years ago. And maybe someone can help. Tried claiming for TBI. 15 years as a guard 13b, who the hell knows how many rounds I'd shot at that point in time. Definitely had some cognitive issues get worse over the years (just assumed all 13b are just dumb. Honestly.) they effectively said "sorry. Not service connected,go on your merry way. However, there was proof of just a .50 getting you all jacked up. With that, has anyone ever been able to prove this without getting knocked out?
