Patience is a virtue (that they don’t have)

All 4 of my rats have the “if she has it I need to have it to“ mentality and when one of them started drinking another 2 decided they also needed to drink right this instant now and instead of waiting 5 seconds they did this

(the one exiting the drinking pile, Ratquelle, was previously also drinking. When I started recording she tried to act innocent)

Family guy yuris

While sleep-writing (as I often do since I have a chronic sleep disorder) I had the thought/idea of like, family guy yuri compilations. like instead of family guy funnies it’s family guy yuris. Genuinely not sure if it counts as dreaming but I can tell you for free I sure as shit wasn’t awake while writing that </3

Boggling

Hannah LOVES behind the ear/scruff scratches, managed to get some footage of her boggling. She’s my snuggliest rat (7.5 months old) and has been cuddling with me for about an hour now

PAM use for sand boas?

Hi! I’m a sand boa keeper (as well as just miscellaneous snake keeper). I have 2 Kenyan sand boas, I’m currently dealing with a mite outbreak in my collection. Neither of my sand boas appear to have mites however I want to use provent-a-mite in their enclosures as a preventative measure. I know some species are sensitive to it and I don’t know if sand boas are one of them. I’m not going to use it unless I can confirm it’s completely safe, was curious if anyone has any info or experience with this?

Use of PAM with colubrids?

Hi all! I’m currently dealing with a bit of a mite problem, started with my carpet pythons (who Ive treated and have gone through multiple rounds of having their tanks sprayed with provent-a-mite, they both seem to be mite free but I’m continuing treatment out of caution) and I’ve noticed mites in one of my racks. Primarily I keep hognoses in the racks and I obviously WON’T be using it with them as I’m aware it’s super dangerous for hogs and I’m not willing to take the risk. That said, I also have a Mexican black kingsnake who does have mites. He’s about 9 months old

I’m wondering if PAM is safe for use in his rack bin?

(Before anyone asks, I believe the infestation started with a snake I bought last year from an expo, hadn’t noticed she had mites since she has a lot of black speckles as she’s a carpet python, by the time I noticed I think they’d managed to spread since I wasn’t aware at the time I’d had them. I had been quarantining her as I do all my reptiles but since she seemed healthy I’m guessing I accidentally cross contaminated with tongs or even just her climbing on my shirt since she loves being handled. Lesson learned, I have seperate feeding tongs for quarantining snakes and am now much more careful. Everyone is alive and it’s not a super super bad infestation, just a pain. I’ll be able to handle it though.)

Unrelated pics of my tiny nightmare of a kingsnake who‘s hobbies include musking and “rattling” his tail if you look at him funny and thinking he’s the scariest creature ever despite being so unbelievably adorable and cute and teeny. His name is Nice. He also enjoys food and pooping in his water dish.

Bird diet

people seemed to enjoy my last attempt at recreating my brains twisted idea of humour so figured I’d attempt this one. I have a habit of writing notes whilst fully asleep so 🤷‍♀️

Acidic

sometimes I write down things from my dreams whilst asleep and I maintain this as a fantastic idea for a meme. Recreated a rough approx as to how this meme would work

so as some of you may remember I produced a clutch of hognoses last month (one of them passed after hatching but the other 4 are doing super well and absolutely thriving! One is thriving… maybe a bit too much)

So I’ve heard keeping baby hogs in groups helps them eat when they’re little, so I decided to do that. I didn’t account for the fact that one of my babies is apparently the most over zealously fat baby ever because he ate the 2 mice I’d left in there for his sisters :/ he literally ate 2 days ago so I didn’t think he’d be hungry… and also it’s 2 entire mice.

Was worried he’d regurge but this was 2 days ago and he’s completely fine, he’s pooped and is completely normal.

Also yes he’s been separated from his sisters and is now in his own personal baby bin.

Included is a pic of him immediately after eating the 2 mice and the second pic is him now (he’s a very friendly little boy and is, I mean, a great eater, so he’s gonna be a great addition to my family lol)
