Kaiya: Shatter, did you hear about the wedding?

Shatter: Yeah, didn't bother me that much.

Kaiya: Really? They're like our- me and Baito's best friends.

Shatter: Eh, I don't really know 'em. I mean, I'll go, but I ain't wearing a dress. Suits all the way.

Kaiya: That's ok, I'm still debating whether I want a dress as well. They're admittedly long and annoying sometimes. Plus we'd both look so good in blazers and ties together~

Rosy: Is this it? Must be. Why else would you have a gold kettle here with "Exit" on it. Do I...do I go? What am I saying, of course I do.

[Rosy jumps into the kettle, transporting her to the outside. Soon after, she reemerges from the kettle, blinded by the sun.]

Rosy: [raising her hand to cover her eyes] Agh- that's bright-

[Rosy's eyes readjust to find herself standing on top of a kettle on the outskirts of splatsville]

Rosy: I better head into the city and see what I can do...

[Footage opens on rosy walking through a dark, open garden]

Rosy: I made it to the garden domes...there are 3 of these I think. It's really dark and cold but...easy to breathe.

[Rosy trudges through soil and mud, plants and trees flourish around her]

Rosy: It's strangely...peaceful here. The plants are alive and unlike anything I've seen before. I think the water is drinkable but...I'm not risking it. I've taken off my ventilator since the filter won't work anymore ever since the city and...the amount of dust in the air there.

[A groaning echos from behind rosy. She looks around and a few more sanitized octolings have appeared. They stumble and trip...almost aimlessly.]

Rosy: Holy s##t...did they follow me?

[For a few minutes rosy walks silently, as the octolings seemingly hunt for her until...]

Snap

[Rosy steps on a branch. An awful howl emminates from behind Rosy. Rosy starts breathing shakily as her rapid footsteps flatten the ground underneath her, snapping branches and crushing leaves as she goes]

Rosy: LEAVE ME ALONE-

[After a minute of chase, Olive dives into the next kettle labelled "Surface", slamming the lid behind her. Scratches come from the lid as she keeps running.]

[Footage opens up to rosy trudging through a dark tunnel]

Rosy: I think I'm supposed to be in the Civilian district now...there are lots of domes like this one, I think. I didn't grow up in this one though.

[The tunnel opens up to a heartbreaking sight.]

Rosy: Oh...what happened?

[The city is empty, dark, and falling apart. A strange wind whistles from somewhere, apartment buildings fall apart and crumble, children's play parks get overtaken by plants. Small fires still burn in places. As Rosy keeps walking along the cracked pavement, tears begin to fill her eyes.]

Rosy: It's all gone...everything. These poor people...are they all dead? How many of them escaped? It's really hard to breathe here...but I have to keep going.

Baito: I'm home...God, how'd I sleep for that long?

Kaiya: BAI! Where were you, I was so worried!

Baito: I...don't know. Last I remember was that I was walking back with Evie and...I ended up dozing off. Next thing I remember I'm in this...building wearing weird clothes. Eh, it's probably nothing.

Kaiya: Probably nothing!? Bai...well...I'm glad you're home safe.

Baito: Me too.

[The footage opens up on a grainy, black and white recording of the outside of a warehouse, at night. Dim white LED lights illuminate a parking lot, to Hashimi Warehouses LTD. The warehouse in question seemingly owned by one New Squidbeak Splatoon. Quietly, a tall sanitized inkfish wearing body armour and a ventilator slinks into view just outside of the light. The inkfish uses it's...wings...to break the lock on the warehouse door.]

[30 minutes later]

[Police arrive on scene, seemingly after a silent alarm was triggered. The inkfish, with a large bag on its back, stops for moment, seemingly blinded by a spotlight and firearms pointed at it, revealing...wing like membranes on its arms and legs. All of a sudden, the inkfish creates a blast of air to stun police, then escapes into the night]

Kaiya: She's...been gone for a while after Dealer's defeat. I'm starting to get worried...

Baito: Considering Evie knocked out Dealer, what's gonna happen to him?

Kyle: Kai, what's in this box?

Kaiya: Oh, no its-

[Before Kaiya can stop him he opens the shoebox to find a collection of small shiny, and metallic objects of various forms.]

Kyle: Oh Kai...you know you shouldn't do this, it's a bad habit.

Kaiya: I know...I know...it's hard to resist sometimes. They look so pretty.

Kyle: Listen, I'm not gonna throw 'em out. Just...try not to collect anymore, 'kay?

Kaiya: Alright...you still up for a swim?

Kyle: Yeah, absolutely. I'll grab my stuff and we'll go now.

Kaiya: Alright, I'll get my stuff as well.

[Kyle walks out of the room. Kaiya stares longingly at the box before getting her swimming things.]

OoC: just realised I didn't do a proper celebration for day 100! Hoo, feels like more than 100 days. I'll keep going, don't worry.

Kyle: If anyone was hovering around the North Splatsville river today, you probably saw me fishing! That water is nasty man, all covered in algae. It's not toxic, just kills plant life and fish below since it takes all the oxygen. I got a great haul, I'm gonna pan-fry it with butter and salt later.

Baito: Wow, can we have some?

Kaiya: Yeah, since when did you know how to cook like that!?

Kyle: You pick things up as you go...

Kaiya: Kyle, what's with the metal pole?

Kyle: I'm designing my own barbed spear, like how I used to have. I think I can remember how to make it...

Baito: Dude, you know you need specialist tools for that right!?

Kyle: Yeah, yeah, I know. I was gonna sketch out a design onto it and hand the hard part over to Serrac, if he's up for it.

Baito: How did everyone do practicing against the Salmonids today?

Kaiya: Good. I've been working on my aim and I sure do feel ready.

Kyle: Me too!

Kyle: Sorry I was out today guys, I was doing some testing for Serrac.

Kaiya: You too? What did he have you testing?

Baito: Ooh, was it a new weapon of his? Some kind of underwater jet propellant!??

Kyle: Nah, just testing my bite force. [Proudly] You'll be pleased to know, I broke the machine.

Baito: Really!? Remind me never to end up on the wrong side of those jaws...

Kaiya: I wonder what kind of things Serrac is cooking up for you...

Kaiya: How did the big run go for you guys?

Baito: Hoo, they were getting feisty down where me and Serrac were! Good thing I was there, the armour piercing really was needed. How about you two, catch any big ones?

Kaiya: Well, Kyle got into a fight with a few big shots while I dealt with the little 'uns.

Kyle: Man it is useful I've got these clampin' jaws! I've never seen that type of Salmonid before, they hit hard! Kinda wish I took one as a trophy, but it's hard to get them out of the water once they've sunk...
