Baito: So that's how the mission went, Serrac. Thought I'd file a report, since that's how these things probably go at the NSS. We found what you were looking for, and I've sent it over to your office. Let us know if there's anything else we can do for you!

Kaiya: Yeah, we had a lot of fun. Hopefully we get some money to go with our service...

Kaiya: Bai, what in the actual **** is that?

Baito: You only just noticed? Serrac let me keep that hyper powerful HMG they've been developing. It's great, I can't wait to use it with Stone Fish.

Kaiya: There is no way they actually let you keep that.

Baito: Hell yeah they did! Don't worry, I won't use it in turf war. I don't want to get arrested or something. And I have to file a report on its status after every time I use it.

Kaiya: Can you even move while firing?

Baito: Did you see the video? I can't move, it's incredibly heavy, and packs more firepower than a crab tank...so...my perfect gun!

Baito: Sooo...me and Kaiya were thinking...

Kaiya: We've adopted a pet shark.

Baito: Specifically, a lemon shark we've called Cyclone. He's a real cutie! Should help keep us company, shouldn't it Kai?

Kaiya: I hope so. I've never kept pets before, but I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Baito: I also did some more testing for Serrac, found that the Heavy tank doesn't hinder horizontal movement nearly as much as it does vertical movement. It's also a teensy bit unstable to run fast in. I am, however, very much looking forward to testing the HMG Serrac is developing.

Baito: So, I'm sure you all heard what happened. Got some pretty nasty burns while testing the heavy tank for Serrac, it's ok, I don't blame 'em. Just got some bandages, that's all. I do plan to do some more testing for Serrac, I wanna see this through to the end.

Kaiya: Jesus Bai, this looks bad!

Baito: ****, Don't touch it!

Kaiya: Sorry...I didn't know.

Baito: It's ok Kai, at least I'm not in hospital again.

[The video shows a female colossal inkling with green and cyan hair strapping on the heavy tank before picking up a heavy splatling and inserting the ink tubes from the tank to the gun]

[She stands in a mostly blank room with a few inflatable targets and a large viewing window for observers.]

Baito: How do I...there we go. Alright, this is test number 1 for the heavy tank. I'm test subject "Baito"

[Video then shows the subject maintaining a sustained rate of fire, while moving side to side and back and forth at a very slow pace.]

Baito: I should probably test this as well...

[Video shows the subject turning on the 'turbo' function for the motor. It works for a few seconds before the motor spins out of control, causing a loud "bang" and smoke to start coming out of the motor]

Baito: Jesus F**k! I'm ok, I'm ok!

[End footage]

Baito: Yo, Kai, guess what?

Kaiya: What? Did you spill your drink again?

Baito: No...Serrac is trying out a new heavy inktank and asked ME to do some testing!

Kaiya: Yo, really? That's sick. Is it too heavy for a regular old inkling or Octoling like me?

Baito: Apparently so...I mean...you are pretty strong but given I can maintain full mobility I think it's more meant for me.

Kaiya: Aww, thanks Bai. Anyway, recovery is going smoothly, right?

Baito: Yeah! I've been able to move around a little bit more, they predict it should be two or three more days until they can send me back out! I can't wait to meet up with Agent 7 and start gettin some work done.

Kaiya: You're telling me...

Baito: Me and Kaiya are gonna be out of work and we're looking for something...different.

Kaiya: Sorry, what Baito is TRYING to say is that we want to join your crew, team, whatever you call it. We believe we have skills and experience you may find...valuable.

Baito: Think about it...I sure don't want to keep working at grizzco for forever.

Baito: Looking back...this has gotta be the most insane week or two of my life. Hit by a car, put into intensive care, literally *died*, then I've been on a steady recovery. I don't know many other people who can say they've experienced the same thing. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe my tougher anatomy allowed me to survive, we'll never know. All I know is that...I'm not dead.

Kaiya: Good thing we've got each other to keep us company right? And all of our awesome friends.

Kaiya: We heard the good news about Stone Fish. Didn't even know people could get their memories back after that sort of thing but thank cod. It shouldn't happen to anyone, but thank cod he's back to normal...sort of.

Baito: Yeah, I don't know if you can call a sickly green skin tone and blue-green hair like that normal but...all's well that ends well I guess. I've already been up and about today, so it's rest for me. I'm glad I haven't been put in a room with a bunch of randoms. Anyway, I hope your holiday gets better Daniel, I heard what happened to poor Jimmy.

Baito: Had a wander around the other wards today, obviously with crutches. The doctors say I should try to stay mobile for at least half an hour, to make sure my leg doesn't lose function. Y'know how hard it is to walk with crutches!? Kaiya had to catch me at least half a dozen times.

Kaiya: You're well heavy, you know that right? Half the time I was barely able to keep you in my arms...

Baito: Comes with the colossal inkling package! And anyway, I have to compliment you on your strength anyway.

Kaiya: Awww, thanks Bai. Anyway, come visit us. Room 6A in the recovery ward! Visiting hours are 9-12!

Baito: Apologies everyone! I was being moved to the recovery ward from the ICU so I didn't have time to post while they sorted everything for that out! (OoC: in reality my signal was terrible where I'm staying) Good news, I can walk! I took a few tests and my leg has almost completely healed, enough that I can walk around a little on it, but not a lot. My arm also is pretty much healed, might require another day but other than that, from this point onwards it's just more tests they have to perform!

Kaiya: I'm glad you're a colossal inkling, I'm not sure what would have happened if you weren't. I certainly wouldn't have survived this whole ordeal...

Baito: Well...if I managed to get through the splatlands, I can survive here. Room 6A in the recovery ward! 9-12! Come give me a visit!

Baito: Another day of rest and recovery, tomorrow they take off the casts on my leg and arm to see if I can still walk properly! Bit of a scary fact but...I'm sure it will be fine. Guy across from me in 11D, he's in a coma...kinda like I was. Apparently he's been here for ages and his family pays extra for him to be kept on life support in case he wakes up. Poor guy. Barely ever seen him get visitors.

Kaiya: I suppose it doesn't matter quite as much since he doesn't know they're there. Even still I hope he wakes up soon like you did...I would hate for something to happen to 'im.

Baito: Too right. Speaking of which, room 12D in the ICU! 9-12 at Splatsville Medical Centre! Come give us a visit!
