Ordered my first Boston Scally. Unsure on the sizing

OK I purchased my first Boston Scally. Been wanting to for a few years but buying hats online can be a guessing game size wise. I have many other hats in my closet from Kangaroo Outbacks to Polish wool Newsboys. Sizes vary.

So last night I pulled the trigger on the Superman. See as Boston Scally is a US company I went XL aka 7 1/2. I'm basing that on the size of my New Era baseball caps which are a snug 7 1/2 that stretch and after a few weeks fit perectly.

.Now I'm looking at the Batman. Single panel. For Batman it says 71/2 is a size smaller i.e M/L. So I'm a 71/2 for the Superman Eight Panel, do I go XL for Batman or M/L?

My 10 year old Pom is suddenly afraid of the living room.

I have a 10 year old Pomeranian. We've had him since he was a puppy and he's always been extremely fearless. He rules his domain. He once tried to take on a possum that was twice his size on the fence in the back yard and loved going with my wife for bring your dog to work day before she retired. He's generally fearless with his only real fear being thunder storms. He doesn't like the thunder.

Three days ago we had a new sliding glass door installed. That meant we had a huge opening in the house for several hours. The three dogs were in a back bedroom for the time. Everything went smooth.

We're now 3 days in and the dog is afraid to be in the living room. Mind you the new door isn't in that room but in the foyer. He's not stressed. He's spending his time however in the back bedrooms or in the foyer (He loves the cool marble floor there). He's also comfortable in the back yard. He will not come into the living room. If we call him with treats he'll come and take a treat and then out he goes.

We think he's spooked by a couple of flies. It's late summer and as you can imagine having a huge opening in the house for several hours allowed every flying insect to get in. We had several large flies that loudly buzzed in the living room for a couple of days. They're gone now but we think the buzzing noise scared him. When we get him in for treats you can see he's kind of looking around cautiously. He doesn't do it in other rooms.

So that's the situation. We have a Pomeranian whose afraid of the room we think because he was spooked by a few big flies buzzing. Any recommendations to help him get over this or should we just let time take its course and keep doing what we've been doing with treats?

Is Chewy gone from Swagbucks?

Trying to order from Chewy tonight for my monsters Pomeranians only to find it no longer listed under shops. Sad to see if this is the case. We've been buying from Chewy for years through Swagbucks. We'll still be buying from Chewy but going to miss that nice bonus for doing it through the Swagbucks website.

Has anyone had a sliding glass door installed through Costco?

Looking to have a new sliding glass door installed. It's been extremely frustrating. I've had multiple companies come in to give estimates but the upsell is absolutely ridiculous. Curious how the experience has been with folks who used the home and instalation service through Costco?

Multi-Factor Authentication

Got the email today about they are requiring folks to sign up for Multi-Factor Authentication. I'm cool with that...but (there's always a but) right now there is only one phone number you can designate for it. My wife and I both have the app on our phones. If my wife needs to log into the app and I'm not available for some reason, she could be locked out.

They should allow you to have more than one number for Authentication. Most of us have multiple garage door openers so having multiple phones with the app is going to be pretty common. I just don't want my wife locked out of the app because I'm in a meeting or appointment.

So is there a way to have two Authentication numbers?

Thank goodness for YouTube how to videos

My last new watch for a good while as it fills up my watch box. I just about spent all day figuring it out. I had the PDF with the instructions and being rather good with tech I figured I wouldn't have any issues. You know the old joke about stereo instructions? I think we can replace that with watch instructions.

Thankfully I found a couple of really good YouTube videos which lifted the veil. one issue is I wanted my second time to be London and didn't realize they do DST, so I couldn't figure out initially why it was an hour off on London. I might actually swap that with Tokyo as UTC is London time half of the year.

In terms of the watch itself it's super nice. Went with the leather strap because I recently had issues getting a bracelet on a Bulova to fit right. So I wanted something that I could slap on the wrist out of the box. It's a seriously nice quality leather. The bezel turns perfectly smooth. The numbers on the bezel are really hard to read on my 62 year old eyes (I actually know how to use a slide rule) but that's what my reading glasses are for. The lume is awsome.

So I'm happy with my purchase. If you go down the radio controlled path I highly recommend searching for a couple YouTube videos on how to program it beforehand so you're ready. It's not hard to program. It's just different from anything you've likely done before, watch or otherwise.

Driver left garage door open. We were told this couldn't happen.

When we got a new garage door opener 6 months ago one of the perks from Amazon was in garage delivery. I was skeptical. My biggest concern was security. One of the main points of the service however was that your garage door would never be left open. Even if the door malfunctions the driver would stay and someone would come and make sure the door was closed.

Everything has been fine until today. My driver on a delivery an hour ago literally walked away and left our garage door wide open. Nobody was home so this guy left our entire house basically open. Thankfully I noticed on my garage door app that the door didn't close after being opened and closed it remotely.

I called up customer service and they basically blew me off. They put a $10 credit on my account is pretty much all they did.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I guess I need to no longer use in garage delivery as it's clearly unsafe. More to the point is that I'm angry that this driver put my home and my pets at risk and I can't even talk to anyone at Amazon about it.

Is there any way I can talk to anyone at Amazon about this besides just a CSR?
