Got the kids a giant capybara

It's mostly for my youngest, who fiercely loves stuffed animals and uses them to help regulate. They named her Toast.

Behold my $50 lasagna

A weekend trip with hubby resulted in a visit to an Italian market and purchasing of very expensive imported ingredients. This better be the best meal I've ever made.

Need help reading this name.

I found what appears to be the reading of marriage banns in France for my great great grandparents. It has the name of both parents but I can't read the father of the grooms name. Copilot says it's Thomas but I just can't see it.

My mom is at a family reunion and sent me this picture. My great grandmother is one of the youngest. Her parents and grandmother are also in the picture. Around 1915ish.

HRT one week in

I've lurked here for quite awhile and have been taking it all in. I've been talking to my PCP for years about symptoms and she's always brushed me off saying I'm too young. When I had my physical this winter, she was surprised I still had periods which made me really frustrated.

I decided to look for an gyn and knew of a new one nearby that opened last year. I looked at the providers and one in particular stood out, as it said he has a reputation of really listening to his patients and specializing in menopause. I feel so lucky to have found this doctor. Because of this sub I knew what symptoms that were probably related and what to focus on. He really listened to my history of symptoms and agreed it was perimenapause and explained HRT vs birth control. He took into account my ADHD which providers NEVER do and decided to stay on a combo estrogen and progesterone patch and vaginal estrogen. Just one week in I've noticed a lot of changed already. Dryness and itchiness have gotten much better, and I didn't even realize how much orgasms had dulled but wow! I feel more calm, more focused, more organized, and it's easier to be happy. I have had two really bad headaches but they went away easily with Motrin. A little bit of breast tenderness and weepiness but tolerable.

Just a week in and I feel like it's already been life changing. I am upset at myself for not doing this years earlier and I so appreciate this sub for the support and information I've gleaned over the years!

The doctor was in Acworth GA so if that's doable for you let me know and I'll pm you the name!
