Looking to fence in a good chunk of our backyard but simply can't afford the $10k+ that I've been reading about. My friend mentioned cattle fencing, noting it's way more affordable. But would it keep out neighborhood dogs? My main reason to fence in would be for safety/peace of mind. Like if I'm in my fenced backyard, I'd want it to be much harder/less likely (I know it's never impossible) for my neighbor's dog to make its way into my yard. I don't care about privacy, I'd actually prefer to see out of the fence so I can still see my wildlife/beautiful yard beyond the fence (my neighbors to the other side have a gorgeous privacy fence, and there's a nice tree line on the side of the neighbors with the dog). Suggestions? Idk how big it would be, we've got 2 acres total so it would be maybeeeeee 1/2 acre fenced, probably more like 1/4 or 1/3 acre

Posting for a friend going thru some tough shit. Their home flooded while they were on their honeymoon, came back to a burst pipe and a ton of water damage. Low income family, barely scraping by as is. Insurance won't cover anything until they get a pre-existing mold issue dealt with (they had no idea, but after ripping up the floors, an extensive mold issue was discovered and now contractors are telling them all the flooring needs replaced but insurance will only cover the damage caused by the burst pipe).

They need to either come up with $13k to fix the mold problem so insurance covers whatever repairs it will actually cover, or sell the house as is - which won't cover what's left on their mortgage, and that'll force them to file for bankruptcy and wreck their credit and prevent them from buying another house and they'll be homeless.

Insurance is paying for them to stay in a rental house currently, and initially the estimated length of repair was 6-8 months. Now for whatever reason, insurance says they have to be out of that house by August even though their house won't be even close to done. They have 2 young kids and 3 pets.

What the fuck are they supposed to do to survive this? Advice, input, and suggestions welcomed.

For a couple months now my little one has had these little white head bumpies on her chin. Started with just a couple, now there's more. She doesn't itch at them. She does suck her thumb so maybe a drool rash but she's always sucked her thumb and these just popped up. Other than trying extra hard to keep the area clean and dry, do you have any other recommendations for me? And she's got a spot on her chest my mom calls a sesame seed, it's just a little raised bump, looks clear/just skin toned, not like a white head. My mom says it's normal but what is it? She does get rough dry patches sometimes too like behind her knee and on her elbows but they seem to calm down once I put lotion on her, that's probably eczema right? With all that combined, feels like a pediatrician visit is in order or is that all pretty normal toddler skin stuff and I could save some $ handling it myself at home?
